Gujarat Reduces Green Energy Open Access Banking Charge to INR 1/kWh
GERC has reduced the green energy open access banking charge from INR 1.50/kWh to INR 1/kWh for the period from September 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027, under the sixth amendment to the green energy open access regulations. From April 1, 2027, the banking charge will be determined annually based on the actual financial impact on Discoms.

MNRE Advises PM Surya Ghar Vendors to Clear Applications Within 60 Days
MNRE has advised PM Surya Ghar vendors to align applications with their execution capacity and avoid retaining consumer applications for more than 60 days without valid reasons. The Ministry has identified 66 underperforming vendors with high pending applications, based on April–June 2026 performance benchmarks, for deactivation.

MNRE Directs ALMM-Listed Wind OEMs to Submit Cybersecurity Compliance Status by August 31

MNRE has updated the ALMM List-II, adding 3,709 MW of TOPCon solar cell capacity in August 2026, taking the total enlisted capacity to 35,467 MW. Waaree Energies, Emmvee Energy and Avaada Electro have increased their capacities.
