The 19th Renewable Energy India (REI) Expo will be held alongside the fourth edition of The Battery Show India and the second Energy Storage Summit India from October 22 to 24 at India Expo Mart in Greater Noida. Organised by Informa Markets in India, the three events are expected to attract more than 1,080 exhibitors, 1,400 brands and 54,000 industry professionals from India and abroad.
The events will bring renewable energy generation, battery technologies and energy storage under one platform, providing opportunities for manufacturers, technology providers, project developers, investors and policymakers to discuss developments across the clean energy value chain. The programme will focus on renewable energy deployment, domestic manufacturing, storage technologies, supply-chain resilience and the integration of clean power into India's electricity grid.
India added a record 55.29 GW of non-fossil fuel-based power capacity in the financial year 2025–26, including 44.61 GW of solar capacity, according to the information provided by the organisers. With renewable energy deployment expanding, the industry is increasingly focusing on domestic manufacturing, energy storage and reliable supply chains to support further growth.
The REI Expo will focus on renewable energy generation, particularly solar power, bioenergy and related clean energy applications. The exhibition will feature companies involved in renewable energy technologies, equipment, solutions and project development, providing a platform for industry participants to explore new technologies, establish partnerships and identify business opportunities.
Participating companies will include Waaree Energies, Premier Energies, Vikram Solar, Reliance, Avaada, ReNew, Adani Solar, GREW, Kosol Energie, Emmvee Energies and Gautam Solar. Other exhibitors will include Dhash Green Energy, Wattpower, Deye Inverters and Solis, alongside domestic and international companies. Country pavilions will also facilitate engagement between Indian businesses and overseas participants.
Australia will participate as the partner country, with the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) leading a delegation of 32 representatives from 21 Australian clean energy companies.
Murray Spence, Trade and Investment Commissioner at Austrade, said Australia and India shared a commitment to advancing the clean energy transition. He said the delegation would showcase Australian clean energy capabilities and use the exhibition to connect with Indian partners and explore commercial opportunities. The Australian delegation will be based at pavilion B514 in Hall 11.
The Battery Show India will focus on battery manufacturing, battery technologies and energy storage systems. Its exhibition will cover advanced battery technologies, battery management systems, power electronics, grid-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS), smart-grid solutions, manufacturing technologies and research and development.
The participating companies will include CATL, EVE Energy, Envision, Epsilon, Saint-Gobain, Pom Power Systems, Lineage Power, Smart Grids, DDEV Plastics Clean Energy, PNT, Semco Infratech, iPower Batteries and Bharat Cell. Companies from South Korea, Japan, Germany and China are also expected to participate.
The Battery Show India will feature a dedicated German Pavilion and a specialised BESS Hall. Supported by the Ministry of Heavy Industries, Government of India, the event will provide a platform for businesses to examine developments in battery technology, manufacturing and storage applications for electric mobility, renewable energy and other sectors.
International participation across the co-located events will include delegations from Germany, Australia, Scotland, European Union countries, China, South Korea, Taiwan, Nairobi and other markets. A high-level Scottish business delegation and engagement with the European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP) will add to the international business programme.
Germany and Australia will have country pavilions, while the Bio Energy Pavilion will feature more than 50 companies from across the world. The organisers will also host a Startup Pavilion and an Investor Lounge to facilitate connections between emerging businesses, investors and established industry players.
The conference programme will feature more than 40 sessions across five tracks, with over 500 speakers and moderators and four chief executive officer conclaves. The programme will address business priorities, technology developments and emerging opportunities across renewable energy and energy storage.
The conference tracks are named Shakti, UrjaX, Surya and Horizon. Energy Storage Summit India will provide a dedicated platform for discussions on energy storage deployment and its role in integrating renewable power into the electricity grid. The programme will also include white papers and industry insights intended to support discussions on technology, investment and market developments.
Knowledge partners will include BloombergNEF, Frost & Sullivan, Wood Mackenzie, the Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW), S&P Global, pv magazine, 1Lattice, Praxis Global, CSTEP and Fraunhofer.
Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director of Informa Markets in India, said the country's clean energy transition was creating opportunities across renewable power generation, domestic manufacturing, battery technologies and energy storage.
He said collaboration among manufacturers, technology providers, investors and policymakers was becoming increasingly important as India expanded renewable energy deployment, strengthened supply chains and worked to integrate clean power reliably into the grid. The three events would provide a platform for knowledge exchange, business engagement and the development of strategic partnerships across the energy sector.
The events are supported by industry associations and knowledge partners, including the Indian Bioenergy Association, ECCP, CSTEP and The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI).
India's expanding renewable energy capacity is also increasing the importance of storage and grid infrastructure. According to the Ministry of Power's National Electricity Plan, prepared by the Central Electricity Authority (CEA), the country's battery energy storage requirement is projected to reach 208 GWh by 2030. The organisers' material also reports that 35.8 GWh of BESS capacity is under construction.
Energy storage is expected to play a significant role in managing variations in renewable electricity generation, improving grid flexibility and supporting the integration of solar and wind power. The expansion of domestic manufacturing and the development of battery technologies are also creating opportunities across the clean energy supply chain.
Large-scale solar projects at Bhadla in Rajasthan, Pavagada in Karnataka and Rewa in Madhya Pradesh demonstrate the scale of India's utility-level renewable energy development. Continued wind power deployment and investment in transmission infrastructure are further expanding the requirements for equipment, grid integration and storage solutions.
Government initiatives, including the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM), are also supporting the focus on domestic solar manufacturing and supply-chain development.
The combined events are expected to facilitate industry partnerships and discussions as India continues to expand its clean energy capacity and strengthen its domestic energy manufacturing ecosystem
