More than 500 renewable energy professionals, policymakers and industry stakeholders gathered in Guwahati on June 25, 2026, for the inaugural North-East edition of the REconnect Summit, a single-day conference, underscoring growing inves- tor and industry interest in the region as Assam accelerates its clean energy ambitions. The summit, organised by Energetica India at Vivanta by Taj, attracted over 500 attendees, featured 20+ speakers, and brought together more than 150 delegates representing govern- ment agencies, utilities, developers, EPC companies, manufac- turers, technology providers and financial institutions. Opening the summit, Hemant Arora, Director of Energetica India, said that the North-East is increasingly becoming an important growth market for renewable energy due to its natu- ral resource potential, rising electricity demand and supportive policy environment.
