Cliantech Expands Footprint in India’s Solar and BESS Manufacturing Sectors with Strategic Partnerships COMPANY SPOTLIGHT 35 energetica INDIA- February_2026 Cliantech Solutions is expanding its footprint in India’s renew- able energy manufacturing sector by strengthening its solar production capabilities and entering battery energy storage system (BESS) manufacturing through new strategic partner- ships, as demand for domestic clean energy infrastructure rises. The company, which supplies turnkey solar module produc- tion lines, is positioning itself as a technology and engineering partner for both solar and energy storage manufacturers. It is scaling operations in India at a time when government policy and market demand are pushing for localised manufacturing across the renewable value chain. Cliantech recently partnered with Encore Systems to acceler- ate BESS manufacturing capabilities in India. The two com- panies will jointly deliver lithium-battery production solutions covering lithium cell, module/pack and container-level assem- bly lines. The partnership will offer turnkey, semi-automatic and fully automatic production lines designed for applications ranging from electric vehicles to grid-scale storage and hybrid renewable projects. The systems will be scalable up to giga- watt-class capacities, the companies said. The move marks Cliantech’s formal entry into the fast-growing energy storage manufacturing segment, where developers and utilities are increasing deployments to balance intermittent re- newable generation and stabilise grids. Cliantech has built a strong presence in India’s solar manufac- turing ecosystem by supplying automated module production lines and integrated engineering support to domestic manu- facturers. The company’s installed automated solar module manufacturing lines now account for 60GW of cumulative machines capacity across 68 turnkey lines projects nationwide. The company started its India journey with a 50 MW module manufacturing line and has since expanded its delivery scale significantly by executing turnkey projects across multiple states. It provides end-to-end solutions that include plant lay- out design, equipment supply, installation, commissioning, and operator training. Cliantech also provides post-commissioning services, includ- ing continuous technical support, preventive maintenance and performance optimisation. The company says it has supported more than 20 new firms in setting up solar module manufac - turing facilities by delivering integrated production lines and process expertise. In response to shifting market requirements and policy sup- port for upstream integration, Cliantech has expanded beyond module assembly into solar cell manufacturing solutions. It has formed partnerships with global technology providers to introduce advanced cell production capabilities in India. These include collaboration with China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (CETC) for cell line technology and CLS Intelligent for automation systems. Through these partnerships, Cliantech aims to localise high-ef- ficiency solar cell manufacturing processes and reduce depen - dence on imported production technology. The company is targeting manufacturers that plan to build integrated facilities covering cells and modules under one roof. To support its expansion into higher-complexity projects, Cliantech is increasing its technical workforce. It plans to re- cruit additional process and service engineers focused on solar cells and advanced manufacturing lines. The expanded team will handle installation, process tuning and ongoing operation- al support. Industry analysts say such technology partnerships and turn- key line suppliers will play a critical role in helping India scale domestic manufacturing quickly, as developers seek reliable equipment partners to shorten project timelines and improve production yields.
