Energetica India Magazine - November 2025

CEO Anand E-Beam Cables India Ltd. RAJAN SASPARA Q How was your overall experience participating in the REI Expo this year? What were some of the key takeaways from your interactions with industry stakeholders, partners, and visitors at the Expo? Rajan Saspara: It was an exhilarating experience. REI 2025 truly lived up to its reputation as Asia’s premier renewable energy platform. The energy in Noida was palpable, with over 1,200 exhibitors and 50,000+ footfall driving meaningful con- versations. First, the accelerating shift toward bifacial and high-efficiency PV modules demands cables that can handle extreme thermal cycles without degradation. Our E-Beam tech resonated strongly there. Interactions with EPC players highlighted supply chain localisation as a pain point; we’re positioning ourselves as a reliable Indian alter- native to imports. Overall, it reinforced the need for collabo- rative R&D to hit India’s 500 GW renewable target by 2030. Partnerships are the way forward. Q How do your electron beam cross-linked cables differ from conventional cables in terms of performance and durability, especially for solar and green energy applications? Rajan Saspara: Electron beam cross-linked cables are in a completely different league compared to conventional ther- mally cross-linked cables. With E-Beam technology, the poly- mer chains are permanently cross-linked using high-energy electrons, providing superior thermal stability, UV resistance, and mechanical strength. For solar and green energy appli- cations, these advantages translate directly into lower losses, higher efficiency, and far fewer maintenance issues. In simple terms, EBXL cables are engineered for the future – they de- liver reliability even under the harshest operating conditions. Q Could you explain how E-Beam technology enhances the life, efficiency, and safety of solar cables in harsh envi - ronmental conditions? Rajan Saspara: E-Beam technology is a game-changer because it’s a physical process – no chemicals or peroxides involved – bombarding the insulation with electrons to form irreversible bonds, making it thermoset and robust. For lifespan, it boosts thermal stability, preventing oxidation or embrittlement in deserts (like Rajasthan’s 50°C+ heat) or monsoons, projecting 25-30 years of service vs. 15 years for traditional cables. Effi - W e have invested heavily in creating one of India’s most advanced cable manufacturing facilities with in-house Electron Beam Accelerator technology, said Rajan Saspara, CEO, Anand E-Beam Cables India Ltd., in an inter- view with Energetica India. 20 energetica INDIA- November_2025 INTERVIEW
