AIC Projects GmbH commissioned 1MW solar PV plant in Bolangir

The german EPC company AIC Projects Gmbh commissioned its first 1 MW photovoltaic turnkey power plant in India on 13th of July 2011.

The client is Raajratna Energy Holdings Private Limited (REHPL), a company based in Hyderabad. The project has been erected under the 1 Phase of "National Solar Mission".

At the end of February 2011, AIC began construction of this PV plant in the Indian city of Bolangir in Orissa. The plant can achieve a peak performance of 1 MW. The project demonstrates impressively the benefits of global cooperation: the thin-film modules are made by Tianwei from China, the inverters and monitoring systems come from Germany and the local Indian companies were responsible are sub-structures, cable systems, switching stations and transformers.

The Orissa Electricity Regulatory Commission (OERC) has fixed RPO of five per cent for 2011-12 and it charges 0.1 per cent out of five per cent for solar power.

AIC Projects GmbH is already involved in the erection of another PV power plant in India for its client Amrit Jal.
