At REI 2025, Vsole showcased its next-generation Hybrid Inverters with smart energy management, remote monitoring, and battery-ready compatibility designed for the evolving solar-plus-storage segment, said Prakash Sojitra and Sagar Sojitra, Managing Directors, Vsole Solar Energy, in an interview with Energetica India.

Que: In practice, what are the biggest gaps you see today in inverter technology, service, distribution, etc., and how are you tackling them?

Ans: Prakash Sojitra: One of the major gaps we see in the solar inverter space is the inconsistency in after-sales service, spare part availability, and localised technical support. While technology adoption is increasing, the gap between installation and long-term maintenance remains a concern.

At Vsole, we address this through a robust service network, quick turnaround time for technical issues, and continuous training of our partners and engineers. We’ve also invested in smart inverter monitoring systems that provide real-time performance insights, enabling predictive maintenance and minimising downtime for users.

Que: Vsole has a facility in Gujarat. Could you share more about your manufacturing capacity and how ‘Make in India’ factors into your strategy?

Ans: Sagar Sojitra: Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Surat, Gujarat, is at the core of our ‘Make in India’ vision. The plant is designed for scalability, currently capable of producing Grid-Tie and Hybrid Solar Inverters across multiple capacity ranges to meet both residential and commercial requirements.

‘Make in India’ is not just a slogan for us, it’s a commitment to local innovation, job creation, and quality manufacturing. By sourcing components domestically wherever possible and maintaining stringent production standards, we ensure that our products are both cost-effective and globally competitive.

Que: How does Vsole ensure reliability and longevity, especially under India’s challenging conditions (dust, heat, moisture)? What quality control, testing, or redundancy features do you embed?

Ans: Sagar Sojitra: India’s diverse climate presents unique challenges, and reliability is non-negotiable. Every Vsole inverter undergoes multi-stage testing, including thermal, humidity, and dust-resistance trials, to ensure long operational life in extreme environments.

We use high-grade components, IP65-rated enclosures, and advanced cooling mechanisms to guarantee performance stability. Our design philosophy focuses on redundancy in critical circuits and real-time fault diagnostics, ensuring users get uninterrupted energy conversion even in demanding conditions.

Que: How is your R&D structured? Do you develop key components in-house or collaborate with external partners/universities?

Ans: Prakash Sojitra: Vsole’s R&D division operates in-house, with a dedicated team focusing on firmware development, power electronics, and energy efficiency innovations. We also collaborate selectively with technical institutions and component suppliers to accelerate innovation in areas like IoT integration and grid compatibility.

Our approach blends indigenous R&D with global collaboration, allowing us to stay ahead in terms of technology adaptation while addressing India-specific challenges.

Que: What new products or technologies have you showcased at REI this year?

Ans: Sagar Sojitra: At REI 2025, we showcased our next-generation Hybrid Inverters with smart energy management, remote monitoring, and battery-ready compatibility designed for the evolving solar-plus-storage segment.

Prakash Sojitra: Additionally, we have unveiled advanced Grid-Tie Inverters featuring improved MPPT efficiency, enhanced protection features, and intuitive user interfaces. These innovations reflect Vsole’s ongoing mission to bring high-performance, user-friendly solar solutions to the Indian market.

Que: Are there any upcoming partnerships, expansion plans, or new products in the pipeline?

Ans: Prakash Sojitra: Yes, we are expanding our distribution and service footprint across India, particularly in the southern and eastern regions, to ensure better customer access and faster service response.

We’re also exploring strategic collaborations with EPC partners and renewable energy developers for integrated solar-plus-storage solutions. On the product side, our roadmap includes higher-capacity three-phase inverters, solar modules, megawatt storage systems and AI-enabled performance analytics tools for smart grid integration.

Que: Given evolving policies in India, such as GST changes, import duties, etc., how are you navigating the policy environment to your advantage?

Ans: Prakash Sojitra: India’s policy framework for renewable energy is evolving rapidly, and we view it as an opportunity rather than a challenge. Vsole aligns closely with MNRE and BIS regulations to ensure all our products meet the latest compliance standards.

By emphasising local manufacturing and sourcing, we mitigate the impact of import duties and currency fluctuations. Furthermore, we continuously optimise our supply chain to maintain cost efficiency while delivering premium quality, keeping us competitive as policies evolve in favour of indigenous manufacturing.
