Que: What have been your biggest leadership challenges in scaling GREW Solar, and how have you navigated them?
Ans: One of the biggest leadership challenges in scaling GREW Solar has been balancing speed with long-term capability. In a fast-moving industry like renewables, the pressure to scale quickly is immense but true resilience comes from building depth and a great team, not just numbers.
We’ve faced challenges around creating a fully integrated supply chain, adopting cutting-edge technologies like TOPCon, and ensuring that innovation translates into real-world impact. Navigating this meant investing early in R&D, automation, and workforce upskilling even when the returns weren't immediate.
Another critical area was aligning our growth with market readiness and policy shifts that required constant adaptability, strategic partnerships, and a clear focus on scalability without compromising quality.
Leadership, for me, has been about staying grounded in our mission and creating technology that is not just advanced, but accessible and impactful. It’s this clarity of purpose that has helped us move forward, even through complex and fast-evolving challenges.
Que: India's solar market has seen rapid expansion. How is GREW Solar positioning itself within this competitive landscape?
Ans: India's solar market is growing rapidly, but scale alone isn’t the differentiator anymore –technology, consistency, and reliability are. At GREW Solar, we’re positioning ourselves as the youngest and fastest-growing next-generation manufacturer focused on efficiency, innovation, and vertical integration.
Our adoption of TOPCon manufacturing technology is AI-driven, and our commitment to R&D with our own testing laboratory sets us apart in a crowded field. We're not just chasing volume, we're building the capability to deliver world-class, export-ready products.
In a market where many are still reliant on imports, GREW Solar is committed to creating a self-reliant, future-ready solar ecosystem. That’s how we’re carving out our space not by competing on price alone, but by offering smart, scalable, and sustainable solutions that meet both domestic and global demand.
Que: Innovation is critical in renewables. What technological advancements or product innovations are currently driving growth at GREW Solar?
Ans: At GREW Solar, innovation isn’t just about new technology, it's about applying that technology to solve real-world challenges sustainably. One of our most significant advancements has been the adoption of TOPCon technology, which delivers higher energy conversion efficiency and opens new applications, from agrivoltaics to integrated building solutions.
We’re also heavily investing in automation, AI-driven manufacturing, and smart integration. This allows us to scale with precision, improve product quality, and offer intelligent solar systems that can seamlessly connect with grids, storage, and smart homes.
Ultimately, our R&D focus is guided by impact-developing solutions that are not only high-performance but also practical and accessible by some of the best minds in the country. That’s what drives real growth, and it's what positions GREW Solar at the forefront of the next phase in solar innovation.
Que: With India as a manufacturing hub, how do you view global opportunities for GREW Solar, especially in terms of partnerships and exports?
Ans: India is at a turning point; the push toward a self-sufficient solar supply chain is strong, and the 2026 domestic sourcing mandate is a clear signal but beyond meeting local demand, there’s ample opportunity for India to become a global export hub.
At GREW Solar, we see technology leadership, cost competitiveness, and strategic partnerships as the keys to unlocking that opportunity. Our focus is on building not just capacity, but capability — investing in R&D, automation, and high-efficiency products that meet international benchmarks.
Global players are looking for reliable, diversified supply chains, and India is well-positioned to fill that gap. We’re actively exploring partnerships that align with our vision of a resilient, future-ready solar ecosystem. With the right policy support and industry collaboration, GREW Solar aims to play a leading role in putting “Made in India” solar technology on the global map.
Que: How do you foresee the evolution of India’s energy mix in the next 5–10 years, and where do you see GREW Solar playing a decisive role?
Ans: : India’s energy mix is set to shift dramatically over the next decade, with solar becoming the central pillar not just for climate goals, but for energy independence and economic growth. The momentum is strong, backed by consistent government policy intent and rising demand. The real progress depends on solving challenges around storage, grid integration, and building true manufacturing depth seamlessly.
At GREW Solar, we see our role as going beyond capacity expansion. We're focused on technological self-reliance — investing in R&D, localising key components, and upskilling talent. For India to lead, we need to build capability, not just output. The solar transition must be systemic, scalable, and people-centred — and GREW Solar is committed to being at the forefront of that effort as our vision states ‘The Future Comes First’.
