Que: Please brief us on Gruner Renewable Energy along with the vision and mission.
Ans: At Gruner Renewable Energy, we are focused to transform the Indian economy into a green economy. Having said that, we aim to change the lives of the 68 percent population of India that is living in the villages. We plan to transform their lives by buying waste from their farmlands, and promoting them to Napier grass production so that their earnings get tripled and their lives become better. When this is going to happen, it will also make the country's economy strong.
Our vision is to shape a future that would generate guaranteed and fruitful economic outcomes which are going to lay the foundation of a green future involving reduced carbon footprints Also, we are focusing on coming up with a breakthrough in technology that is going to work in the best interests of humanity and save its future.
Que: What are your views on the biogas industry in India? As per you, how does biogas address the challenge of the environment and economy?
Ans: The biogas industry in India is growing a lot in the last few years. The government has a plan of setting up 5000 CBG plants by 2023-24. This was decided way back in 2019. However, the government has not been able to do that due to the problem of the buyback rate, which was fixed as well as very low.
Since that, the rate has increased and is now linked to the CNG prices, so more people are now coming forward to set up plants because this is, directly increasing their profits and reducing the payback period.
Que: Could you please discuss some of the technology trends shaping the biogas sector today?
Ans: Since the industry is still at a nascent stage, it will be too early to discuss the technology trends. At Gruner, our expertise lies in setting up bioCNG plants using advanced technology from Germany. Our plants are highly efficient, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly. We work closely with our clients to provide customized solutions that meet their needs.
The technology is based on a unique fermentation process that maximizes biogas production while minimizing energy consumption. The biogas produced through our plants can be used as a renewable energy source for power generation, heating, or transportation fuel, and it can significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Que: Shed some light on the state-of-the-art bio CNG plants installed by Gruner Renewable Energy.
Ans: Our bioCNG plants offer a cost-effective and environmentally-friendly alternative to traditional fossil fuels by converting organic waste into renewable energy, thereby reducing greenhouse gas emissions and supporting a circular economy. Our state-of-the-art bioCNG plants are designed to meet specific customer needs for agricultural, industrial, and commercial purposes, with a team of experts working commercial purposes, with a team of experts working closely to install a customized system that maximizes ROI.
Que: How does the technology of Gruner Renewable Energy have an edge over its competitors?
Ans: It is not only the engineering design, which is crucial, but the components are also extremely important. Besides using German technology, at Gruner, we are using only the best components which are available in the world. Most of the components are imported from Germany, Switzerland, Italy, and other countries.
If the companies are only concerned about profit making and develop components without R&D, obviously that tends to fail. The components being used by Gruner are used in the biogas industries worldwide. We are using all the top-notch components, which are being supplied by the leading companies of the world. What differentiates us from others is that our superior quality in components and engineering and our competitive price.
Que: Could you shed some light on your collaboration with BioEnergy Germany?
Ans: We have entered into a partnership agreement with BioEnergy Germany, the renowned expert in biogas plants across the globe, having a presence in over 12 countries and having been a part of more than 300 plants.
Together, we are set to revolutionize India's energy landscape with the establishment of the country's first-ever Napier Grass bioCNG plant.
This state-of-the-art Napier Grass Bio CNG plant is scheduled to be completed in November 2023 and is coming up in Lassanpur Village, Wardha district of Maharashtra. When operational, the plant will mark a significant milestone in India's quest for cleaner and greener energy solutions. it is the first time in history that BioEnergy Germany has joined forces with an Indian company to develop bioenergy plants harnessing the potential of Napier Grass.
We have inked a pact for at least a hundred plants to be delivered or designed by BioEnergy Germany within a year.
Que: Gruner Renewable Energy recently announced a strategic joint venture with Sanmish Energies. Please tell us more about this collaboration.
Ans: Sanmish Energies is founded by a person who has 15 years of experience in the gas supply chain. The collaboration between Gruner Renewable Energy and Sanmish Energies brings together our company’s expertise in biogas solutions and Sanmish’s comprehensive knowledge of product and service offerings to design, engineer, and implement bespoke solutions. This collaboration guarantees the creation of a resilient network of bio-CNG pumps, facilitating convenient access to greener energy alternatives across the country.
Que: Has there been any other development at Gruner Renewable Energy that you would like to highlight? What will be your growth strategies going forward?
Ans: We are working on a couple of things that are all set to transform the biogas industry as a whole. Gruner always prefers to make the first move in the industry. Our plant is ready to generate hydrogen. Methane (CH4) which is generated in the biogas digesters can be used to produce hydrogen. We just have to replace the upgrade system and put the electrolyzer into it to convert the gas into hydrogen. Our plant is ready for more innovation in the future.
