We have connected several gigawatts of solar power from large utility projects to India's grid, adding 10GW and making a significant impact on India's solar capacity, reveals Simarpreet Singh, Group Executive Director & CEO, Hartek Group in his latest interview with Aishwarya Saxena, Energetica India.

Que: Can you elaborate on the technological advancements that helped Hartek achieve 10 GW solar grid connectivity?

Ans: Hartek Group's 10 GW solar grid connectivity milestone highlights how strategic technology and strong partnerships are helping drive India’s renewable energy leadership forward. With advancements like high-voltage infrastructure, Hartek is shaping a new era in energy. The Power System and T&D division, for instance, has successfully delivered 765 kV substation projects for Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (PGCIL). It is fortifying the backbone of India’s power system to support both current demands and future growth.

The ambitious Mission 2030 aligns perfectly with these advancements, aiming to double solar grid connectivity and reach ₹10,000 crore in sales. High-voltage infrastructure will be a key focus towards achieving that goal. We also have advanced project management tools improving efficiency at every stage-from planning to execution to maintenance-and it has been an instrumental tool in projects across India, including their large-scale C&I installations.

Additionally, Hartek is proud to have achieved 300 million tonnes of carbon emissions saved so far, marking a substantial contribution to global sustainability.
Our recent project with Zelestra, popularly known as Solar Pack, which was recently won in the state of Rajasthan, marks another remarkable step towards large-scale deployment of solar energy.

Apart from this, Hartek has scaled new heights across regions and has won a 75 MW Solar Plant in Jamui, Bihar and 15 GW Project in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh in order to power communities and industries with clean energy solutions.

Que: How does Hartek manage the logistics and supply chain for such large-scale solar PV projects?

Ans: Hartek Group's dedication to a strong, efficient, and sustainable supply chain plays a pivotal role in delivering large solar PV projects on time and within budget. Drawing on over three decades of expertise, we have built a framework that maximizes efficiency while reducing costs, ensuring each stage of these complex projects is handled with precision.

By embracing the logistical challenges of this vast land, Hartek has gained excellent experience in the management of such high-capacity projects like 765 kV substations. It enables the company to serve its clients distributed across multiple states, and the reputation further improves as a trustworthy partner in up scaling India's clean energy initiatives.

Mission 2030 by Hartek has shown a commitment to expanding renewable energy projects, especially in rural areas, and maintaining streamlined supply chain operations with a culture of continuous improvement. Success behind this comes from the skilled team of project management professionals who bring experience and market trust to each project, always meeting the increasing demands of the country's energy needs.
