Que: What are the key differentiators of your solar cable products compared to conventional ones available in the market?
Ans: At Anand E-Beam Cables, the Solar DC Cables are manufactured using cutting-edge Electron Beam Crosslinking (EBXL) technology, a process that significantly enhances the physical, chemical, and electrical properties of the cables compared to conventional heat-cured ones. On top of that, our cables have a CPR category of B2ca (s1a, d2, a1) against Eca requirements.
Our cables offer exceptional UV resistance, weatherproofing, high conductivity, and mechanical flexibility, ensuring superior performance even in the most demanding outdoor environments. Unlike many traditional cables, our products are halogen-free, promoting better safety by reducing toxic smoke emissions in case of fire.
Our products are certified to international standards such as BS EN 50618, IEC 62930, and BIS 17293, verified by TÜV Rheinland, which demonstrates our commitment to quality, safety, and global compliance. We also prioritise long-term cost efficiency by designing cables that reduce downtime, minimise maintenance, and extend the life of solar projects, ensuring customers achieve a better return on investment.

Que: How do you ensure long-term durability, especially given the harsh outdoor conditions solar cables face?
Ans: Ensuring the long-term durability of solar cables is a fundamental principle at Anand E-Beam Cables. We begin by carefully selecting materials that are inherently resistant to the environmental challenges solar installations face. Our cables are manufactured using high-purity annealed tinned copper, known for excellent conductivity and superior corrosion resistance.
Further, we use Electron Beam Crosslinked Co-Polymer for both insulation and outer sheathing. This material transformation through crosslinking enhances thermal stability, mechanical strength, and chemical resistance, allowing the cables to operate at elevated temperatures up to 120°C without degradation.
To combat UV exposure, weather fluctuations, rodent attacks, and mechanical stress, our cables are engineered with:
• UV-resistant outer jackets
• Halogen-free flame retardant properties (IEC 60332-1 compliance)
• Low smoke emission
• Excellent oil and abrasion resistance
• Anti rodent materials
Additionally, we conduct rigorous testing to meet and exceed standards set by IEC, BS EN, and BIS, ensuring that every cable can endure the full service life of typically over 25+ years. Que: This year’s Intersolar Europe is happening from May 7-9, 2025 in Munich, Germany. So, are there any recent innovations you are working on or new product launches you are planning?
Ans: Innovation has always been at the core of Anand E-Beam Cables’ philosophy. In the solar cable segment, we are actively advancing several initiatives to further improve the safety, efficiency, and adaptability of our products.
Currently, we are working on:
• Next-generation EBXL solar cables Rodent-resistant cable designs, incorporating special outer sheath compounds that deter rodents and insects, addressing a common problem in solar farms, especially in rural and semi-urban areas.
• Increased customisation options for different voltage ratings and operational needs to cater to utility-scale, commercial, and residential solar installations.
• Further reduction in smoke density and toxicity in case of fire, setting new safety benchmarks for solar projects, particularly in environmentally sensitive zones.
Through continuous R&D investment and a customer-centric approach, Anand E-Beam Cables aims to lead the evolution of solar cabling solutions by not just meeting current standards but also anticipating the future needs of the renewable energy sector.
Que: India’s solar sector is booming. How is Anand Ebeam scaling up to meet the increasing demand for high-quality solar cables?
Ans: India’s solar sector is witnessing exponential growth, and we are fully geared to match this surge in demand with strategic and scalable initiatives.
We are expanding our manufacturing capacity by investing in state-of-the-art production lines along with the Addition of a New Electron Beam facility specifically tailored for high-volume and high-quality solar cable manufacturing. Our facilities are being upgraded to accommodate the growing requirement for different cable sizes, voltage ratings, and customised solutions for large-scale solar parks and rooftop projects.
