As we move ahead, we remain focused on adopting and integrating emerging innovations in photovoltaic technology—ensuring our customers always have access to the most efficient, durable, and cost-effective solar solutions in the market.
Que: You have set a goal of scaling manufacturing capacity to 1.5 GW by 2026. What investments and strategies are in place to achieve this?
Ans: Skkytop is an emerging leader in the solar industry, home to one of the finest and fastest-growing PV module manufacturing facilities in India. Strategically located near the western seacoast, our facility offers exceptional logistical advantages—making domestic and international trade faster, smoother, and more cost-effective.
Driven by innovation, quality, and operational excellence, Skkytop is rapidly scaling its capabilities with an ambitious goal of reaching 1.5 GW of production capacity in the near future.
Why Skyktop?
Strategic Location: Proximity to major ports on India’s western coast enables efficient export and supply chain operations.
Advanced Manufacturing: Equipped with state-of-the-art automated lines for high-efficiency module production.
Rapid Growth Trajectory: Our streamlined operations and forward-looking strategy are propelling us toward the 1.5 GW mark—faster than ever.
Commitment to Quality: Each module undergoes stringent quality checks to ensure long-term reliability and top-tier performance.
With Skkytop at the helm and ACE modules leading the charge, we’re not just building solar products—we’re shaping the future of clean energy, one panel at a time.
Que: O&M is crucial for ensuring long-term solar system performance. What are the key O&M strategies you employ?
Ans: In today’s fast-evolving solar landscape, operation and maintenance are becoming increasingly critical. With the rapid pace of technological advancements, staying current isn’t just a necessity—it’s a strategic imperative.
As someone deeply invested in this industry, I firmly believe that India must move toward technological stability and self-reliance. It is no longer just about manufacturing PV modules—we must expand our focus to include all ancillary products, raw materials, and components that support the solar ecosystem.
Our vision is clear:
• To achieve high-end quality, reduce dependency on imports, and build a robust, self-sustaining solar manufacturing ecosystem right here in India.
• By actively promoting and aligning with the ‘Make in India’ initiative, we are not just contributing to the national vision but also crafting a strategy to make India a global hub for clean energy innovation and production.
This is our path to becoming truly self-dependent—not only for today but for a sustainable and empowered tomorrow.
Que: How do you ensure that your EPC services align with local regulations and environmental best practices?
Ans: From my perspective, the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) sector plays a crucial role in the success and sustainability of solar power projects. When it comes to GW-scale plants, the stakes are high—these projects cover vast tracts of land and are expected to deliver high energy output. Therefore, there is no room for poor workmanship or substandard installation practices.
To ensure long-term efficiency and reliability, EPC providers must prioritise:
• Use of the right products and certified materials
• Deployment of skilled manpower
• Strict adherence to quality installation practices
• Timely execution and project delivery
This commitment not only enhances project performance but also helps reduce the country’s dependency on fossil fuels, aligning with our national clean energy goals.
Additionally, utilising wastelands and small water bodies for solar installations opens up new and efficient avenues beyond traditional rooftop systems. These underused resources can be transformed into valuable assets in India’s solar energy mission.
Que: How do you see government policies and incentives influencing the growth of the solar sector in India?
Ans: Government initiatives like the PM-KUSUM Yojana and various state and central subsidies have played a vital role in raising awareness and accelerating the adoption of green and renewable energy across the country. These programs are empowering individuals, businesses, and communities to contribute to a cleaner, more sustainable future.
As we look ahead, it's clear that strategic planning, quality execution, and strong policy support will be the cornerstones of India’s solar revolution.
Que: The solar industry is witnessing a shift towards hybrid and smart energy solutions. How do you plan to integrate such innovations?
Ans: As our nation continues its journey toward becoming a global leader in green energy, the focus is now shifting toward hybrid solar systems and energy storage solutions—the next big leap in sustainable innovation.
The importance of saving and efficiently utilising energy cannot be overstated. With air pollution levels on the rise, especially from traditional power plants, it's critical to recognise that these plants are among the largest contributors to PM 2.5 emissions—a major threat to public health and the environment.
To address this, we must accelerate the deployment of solar energy infrastructure, particularly across large-scale installations and underutilised lands like barren areas and small water bodies. This will not only help in meeting our growing energy demands, but also in reducing our dependence on fossil fuels and other non-renewable sources.
Moreover, the advancement of energy storage technologies—which allow us to store solar power for use during non-sunny hours—will be a game-changer for India's energy independence. By integrating solar parks with storage systems, we can ensure a stable, reliable, and clean power supply for years to come.
This is more than just an energy transition—it’s a national movement. A move toward a cleaner, healthier, and self-reliant India, powered by innovation, sustainability, and a shared commitment to the planet.
