Que: Your portfolio includes solar cell and panel manufacturing technologies as well as energy storage system technologies. How do you prioritise R&D investments across these segments?
Ans: R&D is an important and integral part of our company’s growth. Currently, we invest nearly 15 percent of our revenue across the entire value chain of PV solar and energy storage technologies, ensuring continuous innovation and technological advancement.
Que: How does the company ensure its services meet both domestic and international quality standards?
Ans: As a philosophy, whether domestic or international, we endeavour to deliver value-for-money and world-class services to our customers. To maintain the highest quality standards, we offer on-site services during warranty periods and spare parts support through a nationwide network of nearby storage facilities.
Since our projects are of considerably high value, we provide end-to-end support, from the initial concept and planning stages through final execution and even beyond the warranty period. Across all verticals, Zuvay Technologies is equipped to deliver best-in-class services through its extensive network of branch service centres.
Que: What role does digital technology, such as smart monitoring or IoT integration, play in your services?
Ans: To meet the growing demand for faster commissioning and ramp-up across projects of varying scales, all our equipment is equipped with smart monitoring systems for key process parameters. Additionally, IoT integration across our product portfolio enables real-time feedback on ongoing processes, helping us fine-tune operations and improve overall efficiency.
Que: What has been the biggest challenge in scaling your market presence across India’s competitive solar ecosystem? How did you overcome it?
Ans: India’s solar ecosystem is currently under pressure due to shorter time-to-market expectations and a shortage of trained manpower. These have been our biggest challenges. To overcome them, we focused on building a strong internal team, training them under industry leaders, and ensuring their retention in this highly competitive sector.
Maintaining a positive outlook, avoiding unnecessary competition, and collaborating with top leaders across various verticals have been key strategies contributing to our success.
Que: What initiatives do you think should be taken to encourage more women to pursue careers in the renewable energy sector?
Ans: Women can play a vital role across the renewable energy value chain, including sales, marketing, finance, design engineering, projects, and process engineering. One of the best examples within our organisation is that a founding member of our group is a woman.
We currently have several women employees performing key roles in engineering and sales functions. We strongly believe women possess immense potential and natural talent that aligns well with industry requirements. Providing a supportive learning environment and greater exposure to advanced technologies can significantly encourage more women to pursue careers in the renewable energy sector.
Que: What new products and innovations can we expect from Zuvay in the near future?
Ans: Providing reliable products and services that enable profitable projects remains the core philosophy of Zuvay.
As part of our growth roadmap, we are developing more robust manufacturing solutions backed by a nationwide network of service and spare parts centres for energy storage and PV manufacturing technologies. Additionally, we are entering the semiconductor domain, including OSAT and SiC fabs, through turnkey projects or joint venture models, marking a significant new growth area for the company.
