Que: Hoymiles has grown from a microinverter specialist into a broader solar and energy storage solutions provider. What has been the key driver behind this evolution?
Ans: The renewable energy industry is evolving rapidly, and customer expectations have evolved with it. Today, customers are looking for integrated, future-ready energy solutions.
At Hoymiles, this has driven our transformation from a global microinverter specialist to India's one-stop solar and storage solutions provider. Our portfolio now spans microinverters, string inverters, hybrid inverters, residential and commercial energy storage systems, and utility-scale battery energy storage solutions.
This evolution is powered by continuous innovation, strong R&D, and our commitment to helping customers maximise energy generation, improve efficiency, and build a more sustainable energy future. Our goal is to provide reliable, intelligent, and comprehensive solutions that support every stage of the clean energy journey.
Que: Despite their technical advantages, microinverters still represent a relatively small share of India's solar market. What factors are accelerating adoption today?
Ans: India has traditionally been a price-sensitive market, but customers today are becoming more aware of the importance of safety, higher energy generation, module-level monitoring, design flexibility, and long-term system reliability – all areas where microinverters offer significant advantages. The rapid growth of residential rooftop solar, smart homes, commercial rooftops with complex layouts, and increasing awareness about system performance are further driving adoption.
As solar becomes a long-term investment for consumers, they are increasingly evaluating the total lifetime value of a system rather than just the initial cost. We believe this shift will continue to accelerate the adoption of microinverter technology across India.
Que: At StorageNext 2026, Hoymiles showcased a comprehensive utility-scale storage portfolio. What was the rationale behind this strategic expansion?
Ans: StorageNext 2026 was the ideal platform to demonstrate Hoymiles' vision for the future of clean energy. As renewable energy deployment accelerates, energy storage has become essential for balancing supply and demand, strengthening the grid, and enabling greater renewable integration.
Our utility-scale storage portfolio, including DC containers, AC containers, and advanced Power Conversion Systems (PCS), has been developed around three core principles: Scale, Stability, and Sustainability.
Scale to support growing utility and commercial energy requirements, Stability to improve grid reliability and energy resilience, and Sustainability to accelerate the transition towards a cleaner, low-carbon energy ecosystem.
This expansion reflects Hoymiles’ commitment to delivering end-to-end energy solutions and reinforces our position as a technology partner supporting India's rapidly growing renewable energy and energy storage market.
Que: India is increasingly emphasising domestic manufacturing. How is Hoymiles approaching localisation, supply-chain resilience, and local partnerships?
Ans: India is one of the world's most strategic renewable energy markets, and localisation is becoming increasingly important for long-term growth. At Hoymiles, we see localisation as much more than manufacturing; it is about building a strong and sustainable ecosystem.
We are actively strengthening our partnerships with distributors in each region, installers, and technology partners across the country while continuously expanding our service and support network.
Our focus is on building a resilient supply chain, providing faster customer support, and creating long-term value for our partners. We believe that strong local collaboration, backed by global innovation and expertise, is the key to supporting India's ambitious renewable energy goals.
