Que: 2023: Unveiling Business Odyssey
Ans: 2023 has been a milestone year for us. We are a bootstrapped company and we have now reached a level of a growth phase with more than 100 installations across India and a quantum of 70 MW served. 1 KW of solar plant saves around 0.5 acres of a forest area or offsets enough carbon which is absorbed by 0.5 acres in its lifetime, approximately. 70 MW is 70,000 KW and Vareyn Solar has helped in saving 35,000 acres of forest area or offset carbon absorbed by 35,000 acres of forest.
We launched our innovative Capex+ model this year. We, in an innovative solution, have come up with a model for our customers in which they get the best of both worlds and the per unit energy cost which is generated through solar around is Re 1. In Capex+, we are offering 100 percent finance which is collateral free. We are offering innovative services like cover for entire plant, generation guarantee, damage to any part of the solar plant will be replaced in 48 hours guarantee, plant-delivery guarantee.
In addition to this, we are thrilled to announce our strategic expansion into the residential sector, bringing our cutting-edge solar technology and expertise to homeowners across Jaipur, Rajasthan. The project has been initiated in Rajasthan and will soon be expanded to pan-India. Empowering homeowners to harness the power of the sun and make a positive impact on the environment, Vareyn Solar will be providing 150 kmph wind certification with all the residential installations. Each installation will also be safety certified by a qualified, chartered electrical engineer. Besides this basic model, we are also offering a solar edge + model for residential owners.
We have created products within our services which are patent pending. For instance, we have created an anti-monkey cable protection system for the solar panel wiring. New markets that we have entered are - residential segment and geographic expansion entering new markets like UP, MP, NCR.
We recently tied up with Navitas Solar to create solar parks in Rajasthan. We will be the EPC partner in these projects. Each solar park will be 25-30 MW and 3 such parks are planned across Rajasthan.
Last year, we entered into building integrated photovoltaic sector also. We did a pilot project of 70 KW rooftop system installed at a single rooftop which is one of the largest residential rooftop installations with VIPV in India.
Our services have been key in the hospitality sector. We are a pioneer in the hospitality sector with special cases and one of its kind installations for heritage hotels. Vareyn Solar has provided innovative solutions which have made it possible for heritage hotels to go solar. We have helped them save upto 90 percent of electricity bills through solar. Besides this, we have catered to hospitals, schools, MSME companies, etc.
One of the highlights of the year was that we recently installed a 400 KW agrivoltaic solar plant at Nahargarh Ranthambore, the exuberant Palace Hotel in Rajasthan, owned by the environmentally conscious owner Gaj Singh.
The main objective of this installation was to champion sustainability and energy self-sufficiency, all the while upholding a dedicated commitment to the conservation of wildlife.
Our pride stems from being a comprehensive solution provider for diverse client requirements, offering a range of services such as high rise solar structures, solar sheds, solar PV parking sheds, agrivoltaics, and floating solar.
We were one of the first companies get net metering in the state of Rajasthan for residential customers and do projects on mountain slopes.
Our niche is 5-star hotel and resort properties. Some examples of such installations are Fateh Safari Lodge, Kumbhalgarh (115 KW solar PV plant), Dev Vilas, Ranthambore (100 KW ground mounted parking shed solar), Umaid Haveli, Jaipur (50 KW rooftop mounted solar) and Umaid Residency, Jaipur (55 KW rooftop mounted solar).

Que: Navigating Growth: Ushering in New Trends
Ans: Solar and wind energy, regarded as two environmentally friendly and abundant resources in India, have become pivotal components, collectively constituting over 50 percent of the country's total renewable energy capacity. As India advances towards its ambitious renewable energy targets, these technologies are poised to pave the way for a sustainable future.
Comprising more than half of the nation's renewable energy capacity, solar and wind energy are not only reshaping local landscapes but are also instigating transformative shifts across various industries.
Agriculture is witnessing a revolutionary change through solar-powered irrigation pumps, particularly benefiting farmers in states like Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh. These clean energy solutions are diminishing dependence on fossil fuels, consequently enhancing agricultural productivity. Simultaneously, energy-intensive industries, ranging from textile mills to high-end hospitality resorts, are progressively incorporating solar and wind power into their operations, making renewable energy a fundamental element of sustainable industrial development.
The advancements in solar and wind energy within India have the potential to serve as a global model for fostering renewable energy adoption. Developing nations, in particular, can view India's growth in the renewable energy sector as a blueprint for sustainable development.
Strategic investments from both the government and the private sector, coupled with a favorable policy framework, have the potential to propel the sector into accelerated growth, thereby contributing significantly to India's green energy objectives.
