Ans: At Citizen, the customer and product quality have always been at the forefront of everything we believe in. Our customer-first approach enables us to focus on delivering the best quality solar modules.
While we are based in Gujarat, we have a presence across India, which reflects our commitment to serving a wide customer base. Our distributors and channel partners enable us to reach every district in India.
Que: Citizen Solar recently secured a contract to supply 52 MW of solar modules to Solarium Green Energy. What does this partnership mean for the company?
Ans: Solarium Green Energy has always been a valuable customer for Citizen, and their continued trust in us to produce high-quality solar modules validates our position as a reliable partner in large-scale projects.
This partnership is a significant milestone for Citizen Solar, showcasing our growing reputation in the renewable energy sector. By securing a contract to supply 52 MW of high-efficiency Mono PERC and TOPCon solar modules to Solarium Green Energy, we are reinforcing our position as a trusted provider of cutting-edge solar technology.

Que: What do you believe are the biggest challenges facing the Indian solar industry today, and how is Citizen Solar addressing these challenges?
Ans: The Indian solar industry faces several challenges, including high initial costs, import dependence, land acquisition, and grid availability, to name a few.
Citizen Solar is actively addressing these challenges by promoting domestic manufacturing, conducting awareness campaigns, and working on innovative solutions.
Que: Are there any plans for further expansion, either in terms of production capacity or geographic reach?
Ans: We are aggressively working to expand our manufacturing capacity. By the end of 2025, we will be ready with our second manufacturing unit in Gujarat, with a total capacity of 2.4 GW per annum.
Que: How do you envision the future of solar energy in India, and what role do you think Citizen Solar will play in it?
Ans: The future of solar energy in India looks incredibly promising, driven by the nation’s commitment to renewable energy, ambitious government targets, and a growing awareness of sustainability. India aims to achieve 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030, with solar power playing a pivotal role in this journey.
Advances in technology, declining costs, and innovative financing models are likely to make solar energy more accessible and efficient.
Citizen Solar is poised to be a key player in shaping this future. With our dedication to producing high-efficiency and cost-effective solar modules, we will not only contribute to India's clean energy goals but also help bridge the gap between demand and supply.
