PuREPower Grid will also help large scale factories/industries to scale up captive solar plants without dependency on net-metering, and assist EV fast charging aggregators wrt the savings in transformer upgradation and RoW costs.

Que: What’s your go-to-market strategy for scaling PuREPower across India?

Ans: PuREPower employs a multi-channel approach to scale its product distribution across India. PuREPower Home and Commercial products will be sold through the company's existing dealer network, which is being expanded with additional distributors and dealers across the country. PuREPower Grid, a 5MWh containerised B2B product, is sold directly through PURE’s marketing and business development team. PuREPower Grid has garnered significant interest, having received Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from over 20 EPC companies, with current combined interests for 5 GWh of projects under development.

Our strategic efforts to streamline the supply chain and foster an ecosystem of ancillary units have proven highly beneficial. Currently, over 67 percent of our components are sourced from Indian vendors, which provides us with enhanced control over quality, quantity, cost, and supply chain resilience. This localised sourcing strategy has enabled us to achieve costs that are 50 percent lower than similar products currently available in the market. Consequently, we are well-positioned to scale operations and capture a significant market share within the next 18-36 months.

Que: How are you addressing regulatory, grid compatibility, and infrastructural challenges?

Ans: PURE is strategically positioned to address the evolving regulatory landscape and significant infrastructural challenges within the energy sector. Recent directives from authorities like the Central Electricity Authority (CEA), mandating discoms and renewable energy (RE) players to install a minimum of 10 percent Energy Storage Systems (ESS) in existing and new projects, underscore the critical need for grid resilience and energy efficiency. This mandate is poised to significantly spike the demand for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) at the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and grid levels. Furthermore, microgrids are emerging as a crucial solution for providing access to quality power in remote areas where traditional power transmission faces considerable challenges.

All PuREPower products are inherently designed to seamlessly integrate with and augment existing grid infrastructure.

Specifically, PuREPower Grid offers a unique and cost-effective investment alternative to traditional methods of increasing power transmission and generation capacity at the grid and discom/transmission substation levels, thereby ensuring a sustained, uninterrupted power supply. A significant advantage of PuREPower Grid's containerised and modular design is its ability to mitigate the 'Right of Way' challenges currently faced by discoms for the erection of new power transmission lines. This innovative approach simplifies deployment and reduces the need for extensive land acquisition, offering a practical solution to a persistent infrastructural hurdle. Coupled with our multi-level thermal management system, including patented Nano-PCM cooling, PuREPower ensures world-class safety and extended operational lifespan, further enhancing grid resilience.
