Interview: Brinder Gandhi

Founder & CEO at Impulse Green Energy

We’re Expanding Deeply in India Before Going Global, Says Brinder Gandhi, Impulse Green Energy

November 24, 2025. By News Bureau

Over the next 3–5 years, our vision is clear: to deepen our presence in high-potential Indian states while laying the groundwork for selective, strategic international expansion, said Brinder Gandhi, Founder & CEO, Impulse Green Energy, in an interview with Energetica India.

Que: Can you provide a brief overview of Impulse Green Energy and the key milestones you have achieved so far?

Ans: This year, at Impulse Green Energy, we are celebrating nine successful years. I want to sincerely thank everyone who has been part of this journey. With your trust and support, we've remained committed to delivering quality, ensuring sustainability, and scaling responsibly — always with a focus on timely execution.

This milestone reflects our shared commitment to excellence, and we look forward to reaching new heights together. Over the past nine years, we’ve partnered with customers across India, delivering innovative solutions and reliable services to power their projects.

Que: What would you say distinguishes Impulse Green Energy from other solar/renewable energy distributors or solution providers in India?

Ans: What sets Impulse Green Energy apart is our ethics-driven approach and the trust we've built in the market through consistent delivery and transparent practices. While many players in the solar industry compete on price or volume, we compete on quality, accountability, and clarity.

Our clients work with us not just for a product, but for a long-term partnership they can rely on. In an evolving industry like renewable energy, this trust-based model has allowed us to grow sustainably and retain strong relationships across sectors.

On top of it, our team brings together technical expertise, which helps with on-ground execution, allowing them to deliver projects that are not only efficient but also reliable in the long run.

Que: How do you plan to respond to evolving regulations or incentives in the renewable energy sector?

Ans: Whether it’s a shift in subsidy structures, net metering policies, or carbon credit mechanisms — we offer solutions to stay flexible and future-ready. This ensures that we don’t just respond to regulations, we evolve with them — and often, ahead of them.

Rather than reacting, we focus on proactive compliance and timely adaptation, so that both our business and our customers benefit from the latest incentives and frameworks.

Que: You recently signed a 1 GW distribution agreement with Sineng Electric. Could you walk us through how this partnership came about?

Ans: We’ve always believed that a strong distribution model in the solar industry is built on trust, product reliability, and after-sales alignment. Our engagement with Sineng Electric matured organically over the last four years, with multiple project-level collaborations.

As we studied the evolving demand for high-efficiency solar inverters in India, Sineng’s technology roadmap stood out — not only in terms of performance but also in scalability. Their product quality, responsiveness, and willingness to align with industry service standards made it clear that we could scale this relationship.

The 1 GW agreement wasn’t just a deal; it was a natural next step in a value chain synergy that benefits EPCs, developers, and end users alike. Our 1 GW agreement reflects a data-driven, market-backed decision, aimed at delivering not just products, but predictable performance across all types of solar projects from Residential to Commercial and Industrial (C&I) to Utility-scale.

Que: What have you showcased at the REI Expo this year?

Ans: At this year’s REI Expo in Greater Noida, we presented a curated portfolio of next-generation solar technologies that addresses both the current and future needs of the Indian energy market. Our showcase included advanced solar inverters, hybrid systems, and cutting-edge battery energy storage solutions — all sourced from globally trusted brands we’re proud to represent.

We proudly integrated Sineng Electric's complete solution from Residential, C&I, Utility, and PCS required for Battery Energy Storage System, as Sineng is known for its high conversion efficiency, smart grid compatibility, and robust thermal management — ensuring stable energy output across diverse conditions.

Sunways offers a comprehensive and technically advanced range of inverters designed to meet the evolving needs of both residential and commercial solar energy systems. With models ranging from single-phase inverters for small residential rooftops.

In addition, the Sunways hybrid inverter range brings exceptional flexibility to solar-plus-storage applications. These inverters not only support solar energy generation but also integrate smoothly with battery storage systems, enabling energy shifting, peak load shaving, and backup during outages. They support both on-grid and off-grid modes, giving users control over their energy independence. Importantly, they are designed with broad battery compatibility, including support for leading lithium battery technologies such as LiFePO₄.

We will also showcase Dyness’ lithium battery systems, which offer scalable storage, long cycle life, and advanced safety through LiFePO₄ chemistry. With solutions available from LV system for Residential requirements to HV system for Commercial and Industrial requirements, with Battery packs starting from 5 kWh, scalable up to multi-MWh, giving customers flexibility and modularity.

Impulse Green also aligns with Hoymiles, a global leader in microinverter technology. Their solutions are designed for safety, precision, and maximum energy harvest — making solar smarter at the module level.

What made this year special was the line-up of globally trusted brands we partnered with — each one selected not only for their technical superiority but for their proven support and performance in the Indian environment.

Que: What is your growth plan over the next 3–5 years? Are you planning to expand into new states or international markets?

Ans: Over the next 3–5 years, our vision is clear: to deepen our presence in high-potential Indian states while laying the groundwork for selective, strategic international expansion. We are not chasing growth for numbers; we’re focused on scalable infrastructure, reliable partnerships, and long-term serviceability.

While global outreach is certainly on the horizon, our immediate commitment is to execute with excellence in the regions we currently serve and build replicable success models that can be carried into international markets. While we are actively exploring global collaborations and cross-border distribution channels, our core priority remains to consolidate our leadership within India, especially in emerging solar-ready states. We see India as not just a market, but a proving ground — and every success here prepares us for larger opportunities beyond.

Over nine years, we chose not just to grow in size, but to grow in capability, credibility, and consistency — the kind of growth that builds a legacy, not just market share.

Que: What solutions are you offering to cater future requirements of your customers?

Ans: Brinder Gandhi: As the demand for battery solutions continues to rise in the Indian market, we are proud to have been actively working in this space for the past seven years. At our core, we focus on partnering with trusted technology providers to deliver cutting-edge energy storage solutions.

We are currently collaborating with Amperehour and Dyness, whose advanced BESS offer exceptional safety, scalability, and long cycle life, making them ideal for a wide range of applications, from residential and commercial setups to large-scale standalone BESS solutions.

We’ve had the privilege of working with Amperehour Energy for the past seven years. As an emerging force in India’s energy storage sector, they deliver intelligent, high-performance BESS solutions tailored to meet the unique demands of the Indian power landscape. Together, we’re building smarter, more resilient energy systems for the future.

We’re also proud to partner with Dyness, a globally trusted provider of advanced BESS solutions. Dyness offers systems designed for both low-voltage and high-voltage applications. Their low-voltage solutions, such as the DL5.0C, are ideal for residential and small commercial installations, while their high-voltage systems are built for scalable, industrial-grade energy storage. These systems offer modularity, high efficiency, and long cycle life.
