Que: Can you tell us about your journey, the vision behind KLK Ventures, and what inspired you to focus on solar and renewable energy solutions?
Ans: KLK has evolved itself from a heavy industrial gear manufacturer to one of the country's most reliable solar solution providers. Our journey at KLK Ventures Private Limited has been driven by a deep commitment to sustainability and a passion for innovation. We began with a small, dedicated team motivated by a commitment to sustainability, we strategically grew our capabilities and undertook ambitious projects. Over the years, we’ve expanded our expertise and impact, driven by our vision of a greener, sustainable future.
Que: Can you elaborate on the types of solar solutions offered by KLK Ventures and how these solutions meet different needs?
Ans: At KLK Ventures, we provide a comprehensive range of solar solutions tailored to meet the diverse needs of our clients, from residential to agriculture to industrial operations.
We offer reliable and cost-effective solar power plants for homeowners; we provide customized solar solutions to cater to the requirements of corporate offices as well as large-scale industrial units. Our agricultural solutions, solar water pumps and irrigation systems, have enabled farmers to use solar energy for their water needs. We have enlightened various remote areas with our Solar Street Lights all across the nation.
Que: KLK Ventures has been selected for UPNEDA’s 500 MW grid-connected rooftop solar project. Can you explain the significance of this project to your company?
Ans: Being chosen for UPNEDA’s grid-connected rooftop solar project in RESCO mode is a significant milestone for KLK Ventures. It marks our ability to deploy scalable solar solutions and strengthens our partnerships with government agencies. This project is not only going to expand our operational capacity but also underscores our commitment to solar energy while contributing towards sustainable energy goals and economic development in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
Que: How does the RESCO model benefit building owners and encourage the use of solar energy?
Ans: Basically, the RESCO stands for Renewable Energy Service Company, which benefits the building owners by eliminating the cost of solar installations. In this model, the company finances, installs, and maintains the solar systems, allowing owners to access clean energy with minimal financial investment. This encourages the widespread adoption of solar energy by making it economically viable, while the building owners benefit from the reduced energy costs and enhanced sustainability credentials without the burden of system maintenance.
Que: How do solar installations such as solar rooftops and solar water supply systems impact local communities?
Ans: Solar installations like rooftops and water supply systems have made a great impact on local communities. For example, in agricultural settings, solar water pumps enable sustainable irrigation, boosting crop yields and farmers' incomes by reducing their dependency on traditional energy sources. These solutions contribute towards a more sustainable, resilient, and economically vibrant community.
Que: How do you see the current policy landscape for renewable energy in India, and what changes would you recommend to accelerate the adoption of solar energy?
Ans: The current policy landscape in India shows positive momentum towards renewable energy, with initiatives like incentives for solar adoption and ambitious targets. To accelerate solar energy adoption further, streamlined permitting processes, enhanced financial incentives for solar projects, and increased collaboration between government and private sectors are recommended. These changes can spur investment, innovation, and widespread deployment of solar technologies, ensuring a sustainable energy future for India.

Ans: At KLK Ventures, we have an ambitious roadmap for expansion in the coming years.
