Eternal’s Zomato and Blinkit today hosted the second edition of EV Bazaar at the NIMHANS Convention Center, Bengaluru, showcasing their efforts to accelerate electric vehicle (EV) adoption among delivery partners.

The event was inaugurated in the presence of K.J. George, Honourable Minister of Energy, Government of Karnataka, who attended as Chief Guest, and Indian cricketer Prasidh Krishna, who joined as Guest of Honor.

Building on the success of the inaugural edition held in New Delhi last year, EV Bazaar 2025 focused on helping delivery partners understand the benefits of switching to EVs, explore financing options, and experience test rides. Over 1,000 Zomato and Blinkit delivery partners attended.

The event brought together leading EV manufacturers including BGauss, Hero Motocorp, TVS Motors, Bajaj, Bounce Infinity, Ampere, Motovolt Mobility and Quantum, along with specialized partners like EMO Energy. More than 18 EV players showcased their vehicles, offering test drives and hands-on demonstrations. Financial service providers such as Stride Green and charging infrastructure companies like Kazam and Indofast Energy also participated, highlighting the ecosystem supporting last-mile electrification.

In recognition of top-performing delivery partners who already use EVs, four winners were awarded free electric bikes sponsored by EMO Energy, Motovolt Mobility, Quantum Energy and BGauss.

Addressing the gathering, K.J. George said, “EVs represent the future of mobility in our country, not only by shielding gig workers from rising fuel costs but also by helping combat air pollution. Karnataka has been at the forefront of EV adoption, with progressive policies and over 5,700 charging stations. I commend Zomato and Blinkit for taking this initiative to empower delivery partners and accelerate awareness.”

Anjalli Ravi Kumar, Chief Sustainability Officer at Eternal, underlined the broader mission behind the initiative. “The second edition of EV Bazaar is a significant step toward greener deliveries. By connecting delivery partners with OEMs, financiers and charging companies, we’re making sustainable choices both accessible and rewarding," he noted.

Sheetanshu Tyagi, CEO of EMO Energy, Gold Partner for the 2025 edition, added, “At EMO, we are committed to building India’s largest vehicle-agnostic fast-charging ecosystem. EV Bazaar brings us closer to enabling last-mile electrification at scale.”

Alongside the event, Zomato and Blinkit released the results of their EV Survey 2025, which polled more than 2,300 delivery partners. About 71 percent expressed willingness to switch to EVs, driven largely by lower running costs (72 percent) and environmental benefits (61 percent). However, challenges remain, with concerns around vehicle range (61 percent) and availability of charging/swapping stations (51 percent) emerging as key barriers.

As of March 2025, Zomato and Blinkit together had over 51,000 EV-based delivery partners, who collectively clocked 150 million clean kilometers in FY25. Through more than 40 EV collaborations, the companies now offer a 'Rent an EV' feature on both Zomato and Blinkit partner apps, allowing riders to rent vehicles and access charging and swapping stations with ease. Financing partnerships also support EV ownership, while in-app and offline campaigns raise awareness about available models.
