The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has allotted roughly 200 acres of industrial land in Sector 8, Greater Noida, to SAEL Solar P6, a subsidiary of SAEL Industries, for establishing an integrated solar manufacturing facility with an investment outlay of INR 8,200 crore.
The upcoming facility will house a 5 GW solar cell manufacturing unit and a 5 GW solar module manufacturing line. Post operationalisation of this project, SAEL’s total solar module manufacturing capacity will rise to about 8.5 GW, the company stated.
YEIDA CEO Rakesh Kumar Singh and OSD Shailendra Kumar Bhatia has handed over the letter to SAEL officials. The new facility will be located along the Yamuna Expressway corridor near Jewar Airport which is an emerging industrial hub identified as a strategic growth zone under the state’s manufacturing-led development strategy.
The land allotment follows a letter of comfort issued by the Uttar Pradesh government in July 2025. The state’s CM Yogi Adityanath handed over the Letter of Comfort to Sukhbir Singh Awla, Co-Founder and Director of SAEL Industries.
The upcoming plant will produce TOPCon solar cells, recognised globally for their efficiency standards in solar cell technology. These cells will be assembled into solar panels at the in-house module manufacturing Line.
SAEL Industries operates across solar module manufacturing, EPC services, and project O&M, with a clean energy portfolio comprising 8,299.5 MWp of solar IPP capacity, 3,625 MW of TOPCon module manufacturing capacity, and 164.90 MW of agri waste-to-energy projects.
YEIDA has been attracting large scale in renewable energy and advanced manufacturing due to its strong regional connectivity, proximity to logistics hubs, and supportive state policies.
CESC Green Power, a RP Sanjiv Goenka Group (RPSG) company, recently secured land from YEIDA for to develop a 3 GW solar cell, module plant and a 60 MW captive renewable energy plant. The company plans to invest about INR 3,000 crore for these projects.
Integrated Batteries India (IB Solar) also announced plans to invest INR 3,000 crore in a 4 GW solar cell manufacturing facility in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The YEIDA approved the allotment of 25 acres in Sector 8 for the project.
