“Wind energy is part of the bedrock of the new carbon-free global energy economy of today and tomorrow. We are looking forward to WWEC2021 to accelerate this movement through the sharing of experiences and the building up of new partnerships,” said Dr. Ajay Mathur, Director General of TERI.

Dr. Jami Hossain, Technical Chair and Vice President, WWEA, commented “India is poised for an unprecedented and a major scale up in renewable energy in the coming decade. The 19th WWEC presents a unique opportunity to stakeholders across entire spectrum of renewable energies to work out a sustainable energy system for the post COVID world!”

“WWEC2021 will not only focus on cutting-edge wind and solar technologies, but a core topic will be the socioeconomic transformation that goes hand in hand with the switch to a climate friendly economy. Such transformation offers huge opportunities to overcome inequalities on a global scale, and to create new prospects for billions around the globe,” added Stefan Gsänger, WWEA Secretary General.
