Coimbatore-based wind turbine asset operations and maintenance company GreenTech has announced that it has raised INR 30 crore in its funding round led entirely by Transition VC.

The company plans to utilise this fund to expand its operations to the global market and upgrade its predictive analytics platforms. Founded in 2018, GreenTech provides an end-to-end portfolio of wind asset management solutions, spanning comprehensive O&M, predictive maintenance, advanced data analytics, SCADA modernisation, component repairs, and crane-less major component replacements.

By managing multi-brand wind assets, the company helps wind farm owners enhance uptime, cut downtime, and optimise energy output, while supporting customers across India and Asia, including Vietnam and Sri Lanka, and expanding into the SEA and MENA regions, the company stated.

Commenting on the development, Daniel Raj, Founder of GreenTech said, “As a one-stop solution for wind asset management, our focus is to maximise generation, protect asset integrity, improve reliability and deliver sustained value for asset owners. As the renewable energy sector continues to expand, we are further strengthening our capabilities and broadening our operational footprint to support the clean energy transition.”

Raiyaan Shingati, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Transition VC, added, “In India, over 30 GW of assets will be free from OEM warranties by 2030, accelerating demand for independent O&M built on performance rather than legacy contracts. This unmet need is GreenTech's opportunity to become the industry leader.”

Shoeb Ali, Co-Founder and Managing Partner, Transition VC, added, “Operations and maintenance of wind turbines are critical to extending turbine life and increasing wind energy output. With global OEMs leaving India, approximately 30 GW of wind assets need independent service providers (ISPs) who can bring the technical expertise and quality service that OEMs provide, but at much lower prices.”

He further added that there is an addressable white space of at least INR 3,000 crore in India’s wind O&M market, and GreenTech, with cutting-edge technologies such as crane-less robots, high-resolution imaging and AI-driven blade health monitoring and predictive maintenance with robust on-ground execution, is well positioned to capture a meaningful share.
