West Bengal Releases Tender Worth 11 MW Solar Energy

West Bengal Renewable Energy Development Agency has announced that it has released a tender to install 11 MW of rooftop solar power systems. Whilst 900 of these installations will come with 10 kW of capacity, 100 rooftop grid connected solar power projects will have 20 kW of capacity and these will be installed at different organizations in West Bengal.

The concise scope of work includes the supply, design, engineering, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning of the project. A bidder will also have to give operations and maintenance (O&M) for a period of five years.

The completion time schedule for 360 of the 10 kW systems and 40 of the 20 kW systems will be 300 days. While, the completion time for 180 of the 10 kW rooftop solar installations and 20 of the 20 kW rooftop solar is 240 days. The total cost of the project is estimated at Rs.650 million ($9.29 million). The final date for bid submission is February 5, 2019. The techno-commercial bid will open on February 5, 2019.

A total of 360 rooftop solar projects with 10 kW capacity each and 40 rooftop solar projects with 20 kW capacity each will be awarded to L1 bidder at per lowest acceptable price schedule.

Likewise, balance of rooftop solar projects of 540 of 10 kW capacity each and 60 rooftop solar projects of 20 kW capacity each will be awarded to L2, L3 and L4 bidders equally. The average annual turnover of the bidder should not be less than Rs.100 million ($1.43 million) in the last three financial years.
