Websol Energy System has announced its unaudited financial results for the second quarter and half year ended September 30, 2026.
The company reported revenue from operations of INR 361.02 crore in Q2FY27, up 114.6 percent from INR 168.22 crore in Q2FY26. EBITDA increased 77.3 percent year-on-year to INR 128.14 crore from INR 72.29 crore, while Profit After Tax (PAT) grew 73.2 percent to INR 80.21 crore, compared with INR 46.32 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
During the quarter, Websol also made progress on two important strategic priorities: strengthening its balance sheet through the repayment of its outstanding IREDA term loan and securing land for its next phase of manufacturing expansion in West Bengal.
During Q2 FY27, the company recorded solar cell production of 255 MW, achieving a capacity utilisation rate of 91 per cent. Module production stood at 88 MW, with capacity utilisation of 68 per cent. As of September 30, 2026, the company’s outstanding order book stood at INR 1,280 crore.
During the quarter, the Group secured a 54.20-acre land allotment from the Government of West Bengal at Falta Industrial Park for a greenfield solar cell manufacturing facility. The planned complex will add 4 GW of cell capacity, executed in two equal 2 GW phases.
Commenting on the performance, Sohan Lal Agarwal, Managing Director, said, “Q2FY27 has been a quarter we are particularly proud of. Our revenue more than doubled since last year same period, while our cell lines operated at 91 percent utilisation. We also repaid our IREDA term loan and received the land allotment at Falta for our next phase of expansion. These achievements reflect years of hard work, investment and the trust of our customers.
Having spent over thirty years building Websol, I have learnt that building capacity and making it successful are two very different things. What gives me confidence today is seeing our existing plants perform consistently, even as we prepare for the next phase of growth. Our TOPCon upgrade is progressing, with trial runs targeted by the end of FY27.
As we look ahead, Websol is evolving from a solar cell manufacturer into an integrated solar energy solutions provider. The Board has approved entry into EPC, Solar IPP, including solar parks, and energy trading, marking our expansion across the broader solar energy value chain. We believe these initiatives will open new growth opportunities and strengthen Websol's position in India's renewable energy sector.”
