The Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC) has invited bids for the implementation of a grid-connected solar power plant with net metering facility at six stations in the MJ-IQB section of the Ajmer Unit. The stations include New Jawali, New Biroliya, New Keshavganj, New Banas, New Swarupganj, and New Sriamirgarh.
Key details of the tender include a closing date set for February 19, with an earnest money deposit (EMD) of INR 3.47 lakhs for the project. The validity of the offer extends for 45 days from the specified date, and the stipulated completion period for the project is set at 8 months.
Tenderers are required to have a minimum average annual contractual turnover and demonstrate a successful track record meeting specific criteria within the last seven years. The criteria include completing three similar works, each with a cost not less than 30 percent of the advertised value of the tender, or alternatively, two similar works with a cost not less than 40 percent, or one similar work with a cost not less than 60 percent.
A crucial requirement for tender submission is a valid Electrical license from the Contractor; failure to provide this will render the tender ineligible. Upon successful bidding, the awarded contractor must furnish the names and details, including the certificate of competency, for both the supervisor and workmen involved in the project's execution.
The Western Dedicated Freight Corridor, spanning 1,506 km and under construction, aims to connect Dadri in Uttar Pradesh with Jawaharlal Nehru Port in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. Managed by the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL), a public-sector unit under the Ministry of Railways, the corridor is planned to be electrified with double-line operation, contributing to sustainable and efficient transportation.
