Wagner Solar appoints new Technical Manager
Stasik is a veteran of the solar industry and also at Wagner Solar as he joins the UKteam from the parent company Wagner & Co, where he belonged to the International Department’s Technical Team.

Stasik is a veteran of the solar industry and also at Wagner Solar as he joins the UKteam from the parent company Wagner & Co, where he belonged to the International Department’s Technical Team. Stasik’s time at Wagner has also included a 2-year assignment at Wagner Solar USA, where he was responsible for Product and Project management as well as developing and implementing training programs for US installer nationwide.
Wagner Solar UK Managing Director Carsten Pump commented, “The solar market here in theUK, particularly for PV, is entering a turning point with the new FIT. Installers will need to rethink their business models and quality of service and installation will come to the forefront more now, than ever before. We are fortunate to have Jan on board in theUKto help our installer clients with technical troubleshooting and guidance so they are constantly abreast of the best installation techniques. Many in our technical sales team have been trained by Jan so we are excited about the extra value he will bring to our UKkoperation and moreover the value we can bring collectively to the UKsolar industry.”
Commenting on his appointment, Stasik said, “It is hugely exciting to join the UKmarket in its emerging days, particularly as the market enters the current new stage of development. In these challenging times surrounding the Solar PV market, we must remain conscious of the other renewable technologies, particularly Solar Thermal. This technology provides the possibility to reduce energy costs whilst maintaining our environmental consciousness. Energy prices are rising dramatically – particularly for gas, which is the main agent for heating inBritain. Solar Thermal is an excellent technology for households to reduce their energy expenditure whilst also providing the possibility for Solar PV installers to diversity their offering. As we move into 2012, we will expand our Solar Thermal business to encompass installer training, a comprehensive back office design service and onsite installer support.”
