Waaree Solar Americas, the US arm of Indian solar module maker Waaree Energies, has secured a major order to supply 540 MW of solar modules to a US-based renewable energy developer.
The deal involves delivering 270 MW of modules in 2025 and another 270 MW between 2027 and 2028. The client is a key player in the utility-scale solar and energy storage sector across the United States.
Waaree stated that the deal strengthens its global footprint and reflects growing international demand for Indian-manufactured solar components.
As per the firm, Waaree Solar Americas operates a 1.6 GW module manufacturing facility in Brookshire, Texas, expanding to 3.2 GW by end-2025. The company aims to invest USD 1 billion in US manufacturing, supporting energy transition, creating over 1,500 jobs, and benefits from a strong global footprint,13.3 GW installed cell capacity in India and 11 GW of modules delivered across 20 countries
