Waaree Energies Ltd., India’s renewable energy firm, has retained its position as the country’s No. 1 solar module supplier in Q3 2025, according to the latest JMK Research & Analytics RE Market Update.

Waaree recorded the highest shipment volumes among 28 major module suppliers, reaffirming its leadership in India’s rapidly expanding solar sector.

During the quarter, Indian manufacturers accounted for over 95 percent of solar module shipments. Waaree’s top ranking was driven by its advanced, backward-integrated manufacturing capabilities, strong supply chain, and reputation for quality and innovation.

The Indian solar market saw substantial growth in Q3 2025, with approximately 8.06 GW of utility-scale and 2.7 GW of rooftop solar capacity added. Cumulative installations in India reached 127 GW as of September 2025, reflecting the country’s push toward its 500 GW renewable energy target.

Waaree further strengthened its manufacturing footprint, adding 1.8 GW of module capacity and 4.2 GW of cell manufacturing during the quarter. The company exported nearly 38 percent of its Q3 module production, demonstrating its global competitiveness even amid challenging trade conditions.

Evolving into a full-spectrum energy transition company, Waaree offers solar EPC solutions, battery energy storage systems, transformers, solar inverters, green hydrogen solutions, and energy infrastructure, including data centre development. This integrated portfolio positions the company to support India’s clean energy ambitions with end-to-end solutions.

“Waaree’s continued leadership in the Indian solar module market underlines our commitment to powering the nation’s clean energy transformation and building for the world. As the sector expands at record pace, we remain focused on scale, quality, and innovation that drive value for customers and the energy ecosystem,” said  Sunil Rathi, Executive Director, Waaree.

With projections from JMK Research estimating an additional 41.5 GW of solar capacity in FY2026, Waaree is expected to play a critical role in India’s self-reliant solar vision.
