Waaree Energies has announced that the company has made an investment amounting to INR 300 crore in Waaree Energy Storage Solutions (WESSPL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, through rights issue.

The investment involves 60 crore partly paid-up equity shares of face value INR 10 each. The purpose behind this investment is to set up a lithium-ion advanced chemistry storage cell manufacturing plant, the company stated in a regulatory filing.
