Waaree Energies has become the first solar module manufacturer in India to produce more than 1 GW of solar panels in a single month, achieving this milestone in November 2025.

With an annual domestic manufacturing capacity of 19.7 GW, Waaree said the performance reflects the strength of its fully automated, vertically integrated plants, an India-led and resilient supply chain, and next-generation production lines operating with high operational discipline. According to the company, these factors enabled continuous, precision-driven production to meet the rising demand of both domestic and international markets.

“This is a significant moment for Waaree Energies and for India’s solar manufacturing ecosystem. Producing 1 GW in a month reflects our team’s technological capabilities and the trust of our customers,” said Sunil Rathi, Executive Director, Waaree Energies Limited. He added that Waaree will continue supporting India’s target of 500 GW of renewable energy capacity.

According to the company, this achievement demonstrates India’s ability to rapidly and competitively scale solar manufacturing. It also indicates the readiness of domestic manufacturers to support large project pipelines, expand export potential, and contribute to a more self-reliant clean energy ecosystem. Waaree said it will remain focused on strengthening production capabilities to meet future demand with consistency and quality.
