Waaree Energies appoints Jignesh Rathod as CEO-Designate. He will work with outgoing CEO Amit Paithankar during the transition period before formally taking over the role, effective 16 May 2026.

Waaree Energies Ltd. has appointed Jignesh Rathod as Chief Executive Officer‑Designate, following approval by its Board of Directors.
As per the company’s filings, the Board has accepted the resignation of Whole‑Time Director and CEO Amit Paithankar, effective May 15, 2026, or an earlier date as mutually agreed. Rathod, currently Director–Operations, will work with outgoing CEO Amit Paithankar during a structured transition period before formally taking over as CEO, effective 16 May 2026. He has been associated with Waaree for over 18 years and has played a key role in scaling manufacturing capacity, strengthening operational systems, and overseeing large-scale project execution.
The company said the leadership transition aligns with its internal succession planning and long-term growth strategy. The Board also acknowledged the contributions of Amit Paithankar during his tenure.

As per the company, Waaree Energies currently has solar PV module manufacturing capacity of about 22.77 GW globally and solar cell capacity of over 22 GW across India and the US.
