VOCPA Announces Tender for 6 MW Wind Farm at Tuticorin Port

The V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority (VOCPA) has released an e-tender for the design, engineering, supply, installation, and commissioning of a 6 MW wind farm on an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) basis at its premises in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu.

The project also includes civil works and a power evacuation system that will be connected to the grid in accordance with the norms of the Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Company Ltd (TNPDCL).

The successful bidder will be responsible for a comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) contract for 11 years, with a 2-year guarantee period following the commissioning of the wind turbines. The total estimated cost of the project is INR 60.92 crores, excluding GST.

Interested bidders can download the complete set of tender documents from the official e-tendering portal starting April 12, 2025. The last date for submitting the online bid is May 8, 2025, while the bid opening will take place on May 9, 2025.

To be eligible, bidders must meet specific criteria related to financial turnover and similar work experience, including the successful completion of similar wind farm projects in the last seven years. The bid will be evaluated under a two-cover system, and bidders must provide a bid security deposit (EMD) of INR 1.22 crore.
