Vingroup has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (M0U) with the Government of Telangana at the 'Telangana Rising Global Summit' for a proposed USD 3 billion phased investment to build a large-scale, multi-sector ecosystem.
The agreement covers smart urban development, electric mobility, healthcare, education, tourism, renewable energy and EV charging infrastructure across nearly 2,500 hectares. The initiative aims to support economic growth, job creation and long-term urban infrastructure development in the state.
In electric mobility, Vingroup plans to introduce a large-scale electric taxi fleet using VinFast vehicles through GSM and may explore future EV manufacturing opportunities.
Urban development plans include the proposed Vinhomes Smart City project on 1,080 hectares, designed to house around 200,000 residents and expected to generate about 10,000 jobs.
The Group also plans social infrastructure projects including Vinschool K-12 institutions, Vinmec multi-specialty hospitals and the V-Green EV charging network, along with a VinWonders tourism and entertainment complex.
In renewable energy, Vingroup, through VinEnergo, plans to develop a 500 MW solar project over 500 hectares to support green electricity demand from urban and mobility ecosystems.
Telangana has committed to facilitating land allocation, project clearances and infrastructure support, while extending policy incentives as per state frameworks.
