Multi-sector EPC company Vikran Engineering has announced that the company has received a letter of award (LoA) worth INR 354.21 crore from Ellume Energy MH SolarOne.
The order is for the development of grid-interactive solar PV power project with a capacity of 100 MW AC/120 MW DC in Maharashtra, the company stated in a regulatory filing. The projects must be completed within 12 months.
Under the terms of the LoA, Vikran Engineering will execute the project on a lump-sum turnkey basis, encompassing comprehensive design, engineering, procurement, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar power plant, ensuring it becomes fully operational for its intended purpose.
The scope also includes adherence to stringent technical standards, safety norms, and performance monitoring systems, with all major components such as PV modules, inverters, and transformers sourced from Tier-1 manufacturers in compliance with IEC and BIS standards.
Commenting on the development, Rakesh Markhedkar, Chairman and Managing Director, Vikran Engineering, said, “This order reinforces Vikran Engineering's growing capabilities in delivering complex, large-scale renewable energy projects. It aligns perfectly with our strategy to expand our EPC footprint in clean energy and sustainable infrastructure. We are proud to contribute to India's renewable energy goals while delivering world-class execution standards for our clients.”
The contract represents a key milestone in Vikran Engineering's growth trajectory as it diversifies beyond its established presence in power transmission, water, and rail infrastructure. With this project, the company further strengthens its credentials in India's solar EPC space, leveraging its engineering expertise, operational excellence, and asset-light execution model, the company stated.
The project is expected to significantly enhance clean energy capacity in Maharashtra and contribute to India's national renewable energy targets, underlining the company's commitment to supporting sustainable and responsible infrastructure growth.
