Vena Energy Signs 124 MW Wind Power Purchase Agreement with SECI
Vena Energy has signed a 124 MW wind PPA with Solar Energy Corporation. Once operational, the project is expected to generate 428,000 MWh annually while avoiding 407,000 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions each year.

Vena Energy has announced the signing of a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for 124 MW of wind energy capacity under SECI Wind Tranche XIX.
Leveraging Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) connectivity, the project will enable efficient transmission of clean energy across regions, supporting grid stability and enhancing the resilience of India’s power system, stated the company.
Monika Rathi, Head of India at Vena Energy, said, “This is a meaningful milestone for our team in India. Over the years, we have built a diversified portfolio across captive, state and inter-state grid-connected, as well as hybrid and firm, dispatchable renewable energy projects. This project reflects our ability to adapt, execute, and deliver solutions that meet the evolving needs of India’s energy landscape.”
She added, “We approach every opportunity with a focus on disciplined execution and delivering reliable, high-quality power. Our emphasis has always been on the quality and reliability of power, ensuring that what we build contributes meaningfully to the energy transition.”
Once operational, the project is expected to generate approximately 428,000 MWh of renewable energy annually, equivalent to powering around 406,000 households in India. It is also expected to avoid nearly 407,000 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions each year and save approximately 321 million litres of water compared to conventional thermal power generation, stated the company.
