Vayona Energy has announced that the company has entered into an agreement with Tata Power Renewable Energy (TPREL) to supply 702 MW of wind turbines.
Under this deal, Vayona Energy will deliver 195 SG 3.6-145 turbines across Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu, the company stated, further adding that with this, the company’s portfolio crossed the 2 GW mark.
Commenting on the development, Prashant Jain, Executive Vice Chairman, Vayona Energy, said, “This landmark agreement signed marks a significant milestone as we accelerate our journey in India. We deeply value TPREL’s continued trust and look forward to advancing collaboration and driving sustainable growth together.”
Pritesh Vinay, Chief Executive Officer, Vayona Energy, added, “We are ramping up our production facilities to meet growing market demand while strengthening our commitment to ‘Make in India’. With more than 3.6 GW in orders and over 2 GW installed as of December 2025, our 3X platform continues to earn strong market confidence in its technology and proven performance in India.”
Following the acquisition of Siemens Gamesa's onshore wind business in India and Sri Lanka by TPG and MAVCO, a private entity of select members of the Murugappa family, the newly formed independent company was officially rebranded as Vayona Energy.
Last week, the company signed an agreement with Oyster Renewable Energy to supply wind turbines totalling 64.8 MW for a project in Andhra Pradesh.
