The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) region in Uttar Pradesh is set to witness a major industrial boost with investments exceeding INR 3,500 crore from two prominent companies.

The RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group is set to invest INR 3,000 crore in a large-scale solar project in the YEIDA region. The plan includes establishing a 3 GW solar cell manufacturing facility, an integrated ecosystem, and a 60 MW captive solar and energy storage plant. Spread across 100 acres in Sector-8D, the hub will deploy advanced technologies such as TOPCon and Perovskite-Tandem cells, with potential efficiency levels of 28–30 percent and projected reductions in electricity costs by 10–15 percent. The initiative is expected to create more than 1,200 direct jobs and around 4,000 indirect employment opportunities.

Meanwhile, Minda Corporation plans a INR 500 crore auto components facility in Sector-10, producing wiring harnesses, sensors, and connectors. The plant aims to support India’s expanding electric vehicle and autonomous driving sectors, creating more than 2,200 direct and 5,000 indirect jobs. Combined, the projects will generate over 7,000 jobs, reinforcing Uttar Pradesh’s appeal as an investment hub.
