UPNEDA Releases PM Surya Ghar Vendor Rating List for 2024-25

The Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) has released the registered vendors rating list under the 'PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojna'.

This scheme, implemented by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), aims to install grid-connected solar rooftop plants in the homes of 25 lakh consumers across the State. As of now, 1737 vendors have been registered to carry out the installation of these systems.

The vendor ratings are based on redeemed subsidy data available on the government's PM Surya Ghar National portal. These ratings are intended to assist consumers in selecting reliable vendors while fostering competition among them, which is expected to boost the number of installations. The ratings will be updated monthly, starting from January 2025. Additionally, vendors who have faced any action will have their ratings lowered by one level.

Based on the data available on the National Portal as of December 26, 2024, the vendor ratings under the 'PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojna' are divided into 9 categories viz. A++ for vendors with over 500 redeemed subsidies (06 vendors), A+ for those with 400 to 499 redeemed subsidies (04 vendors), A for vendors with 300 to 399 redeemed subsidies (03 vendors), A- for those with 200 to 299 redeemed subsidies (18 vendors), B+ for vendors with 100 to 199 redeemed subsidies (103 vendors), B for those with 50 to 99 redeemed subsidies (186 vendors), C for vendors with 10 to 49 redeemed subsidies (509 vendors), C- for vendors with 1 to 9 redeemed subsidies (438 vendors), and D for vendors with zero redeemed subsidies (470 vendors).

The 6 highest-rated (A++) vendors in the State are Vortex Solar Energy Pvt. Ltd. (905 installations), N.K. Enterprises (633 installations), SolarSquare Energy Pvt. Ltd. (606 installations), Akupaad Marketing Pvt. Ltd. (600 installations), OM Solar Solutions (522 installations), and Smart Solartech and IT Solutions (515 installations).
