Uno Minda Appoints Ravi Mehra as MD
Ravi Mehra, currently Deputy Managing Director, is being elevated and appointed as Managing Director, assuming responsibility for the company’s operations and management.

In alignment with best practices in corporate governance and to enhance operational oversight, Uno Minda is separating the roles of Chairman and Managing Director. Ravi Mehra, currently Deputy Managing Director, is being elevated and appointed as Managing Director, assuming responsibility for the company’s operations and management.
Nirmal Kumar Minda will transition to Executive Chairman, focusing on strategic direction, business oversight, mentoring the leadership team, championing employee development and well-being across the organization. He will continue to guide the team towards achieving group’s vision of building sustainable organisation.
This strategic move marks a significant step in Uno Minda’s transition towards a professionally led organization, ensuring a more balanced and effective governance structure. Ravi Mehra, a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and The Institute of Company Secretaries of India, brings over three decades of extensive experience and deep industry knowledge to his new role, having played a crucial part in Uno Minda’s remarkable growth journey since his joining in 1995.
Uno Minda has announced key appointments to its Board of Directors, effective April 1, 2025, aimed at further enhancing its diversity and expertise.
Shekar Viswanathan has been appointed as an Independent Director. With over four decades of experience, he previously served as Vice Chairman and Whole-time Director at Toyota Kirloskar Motors Private Limited. Viswanathan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Madras and is a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, bringing deep financial and automotive industry insights to the Board.
Another Independent Director appointment is Abhay Damle, a former Indian Revenue Service officer from the 1989 batch. Damle has held significant positions within the government, including Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) and Director at the Central Institute of Road Transport, Pune. His academic background includes a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Delhi and a Bachelor's degree in Production Engineering from NIT Bhopal. He has also served in various roles within the Income Tax department, adding rich regulatory and policy expertise.
In addition, Paridhi Minda and Pallak Minda, daughters of Chairman Mr. Nirmal Kumar Minda, have been appointed as Non-Executive Directors. Both have been associated with the Uno Minda Group since 2001 and bring valuable business acumen and experience. Paridhi Minda holds a management degree from Bradford University, has completed certification from the London School of Economics, and attended a finishing school at Institut Villa Pierrefeu in Switzerland. Pallak Minda is a graduate in Entrepreneurship from Delhi University and has completed the Master's Programme for Entrepreneurs and Family Businesses (MPEFB) from IIM Bangalore, reinforcing the Board's strategic leadership and next-generation perspective.
