Union Minister RK Singh Inaugurates Power Pavilion at IITF 2023

The Union Minister for Power and New & Renewable Energy, R.K. Singh, inaugurated the Power Pavilion at the India International Trade Fair 2023, held at Pragati Maidan. The pavilion, organized by the Ministry of Power, Government of India, serves as a platform to showcase key initiatives and advancements in the power sector to both domestic and international audiences.
The primary objective of the pavilion is to enhance public awareness and participation in the government's schemes and policies related to the power sector.
Among the policy initiatives and themes highlighted at the pavilion are the National Green Hydrogen Mission, Carbon Capture Technology, One Sun-One World-One Grid, Universal Energy Access through Renewable Energy, Electricity (Rights of Consumers) Rules, Smart Energy (Smart Grid, Smart Meter), Pumped Hydro Storage for Grid Stability, Energy Transition, Charging Infrastructure, and e-Mobility.
Addressing the media after the inauguration, Singh emphasized India's commitment to responsible development while meeting growing electricity needs. He pointed out India's achievements in surpassing NDC targets and the ambitious goals set for renewable energy capacity and emission reduction by 2030.
