Union Cabinet Approves Decisions on Implementation of National Policy on Biofuels

MNRE has announced that The Union Cabinet has approved the following decisions related to Bioethanol and Biodiesel for implementation of National Policy on Biofuels in the meetings held on 3rd July, 2013, 10th December, 2014 and 16th January. 2015.

Several points were discussed and thus decisions on it were approved for fast-tracked implementation.

Necessary measures for implementation of the decisions for biodiesel blending in diesel as well as use of B100 as standalone fuel subject to BIS standards and guidelines prescribed by MoPNG were also discussed.

The price of bio-diesel will be market determined.
