Ujaas Energy records 117% jump in total income

Ujaas Energy Ltd, has come out with excellent performance for the year ended 31st March 2014. The Company in the audited results for 2013-14 has recorded a 117 per cent growth in its total income from operations to Rs 525.54 crore as against Rs 242.57 crore for the previous year. Company’s profit after tax has also gone up by 38 per cent to Rs 37.39 crore for fiscal 2013-14 from Rs 27.01 crore in the previous year. The Company has declared a dividend of Re. 0.20 (20%) on equity share of the paid- up value of Re. 1 each.

Ujaas Energy is a leading manufacturer of solar power systems and it also manufactures transformers. It is also a leader in setting up of solar power plant and provides full range of services right from identification of suitable land upto commissioning of the plant and its maintenance.

Overwhelmed by the exceptional results, Mr. Vikalp Mundra, Joint Managing Director of Ujaas Energy Ltd said, “We were able to achieve this success even in difficult times for the industry last year. Now with a new government at the helm of affairs known for encouraging solar power generation, we can expect further growth in business and profitability in future.” 

During 2013-14, Ujaas Energy has reported a sharp increase in the manufacture and sale of solar power systems amounting to Rs 480.63 crore from Rs 208.43 crore achieved in FY 2012-13, while the earning from solar power plant operations jumped to Rs 23.21 crore from Rs 4.61 crore during the corresponding period respectively. The transformer business recorded a sale of Rs 21.69 crore in 2013-14 as against Rs 29.51 crore in the previous year.
