Ujaas Energy Ltd installs 160KW roof top solar PV power plant

Ujaas Energy Limited, a pioneer of solar power generation under REC mechanism, announced the installation of a 160 KW grid interactive Solar Photo Voltaic Power Plant at National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) in Bhubaneswar. NALCO is a Navratna public sector enterprise with the facility of net metering. While designing and installing the plant on the roof top of NALCO, Ujaas Energy Ltd. has diligently executed the project. The plant installed on the building with heritage look has been designed and installed to withstand wind speed of 300 KM / hour. The installation has been done in such a manner that the same is not visible from outside and does not affect the heritage look of the building.

Speaking on the occasion, the Joint Managing Director of Ujaas Energy Limited, Vikalp Mundra said, "We are committed to promote maximum quality roof top projects and will continue this as it’s the need of the hour". He informed that apart from this Ujaas is also executing other large roof top projects in Bhubaneswar / Cuttack for NALCO Township, Alfa Transformers, Galaxy Healthcare and Magnum Sea Foods presently. The company is very aggressive in this market and is planning to execute many more such installations in the state of Odisha."

On the other hand, Chairman & Managing Director of NALCO, Anshuman Das said, "Over the years, the biophysical environment is being degraded due to various developmental activities and sometimes damaged permanently. At NALCO, we believe in giving back to nature through wholesome environment protection through various projects at different units". He added, "Setting up a rooftop solar plant at NALCO's corporate office in Bhubaneswar is an initiative towards sustainable development”.

Ujaas also executed the first grid synchronized commercially owned roof top solar photo voltaic power plant with facility and approval of net metering in India, in the state of Hyderabad for Rockwell Industries as allocated by Solar Energy Corporation of India- II (SECI-II ). The company which has already executed more than 105 MW of solar photo voltaic projects in the country is also executing several other roof top projects in UP, Rajasthan, Hyderabad, Punjab, Tamil Nadu etc.
