TrusTerra has officially launched India’s first AI-backed deeptech platform for used electric vehicles (EVs), aiming to bring trust, transparency, and liquidity to the country’s pre-owned EV market.
As per the firm's statement, the platform targets an INR 500 crore market cap within its first two years of operations. Founded by Tanvir Singh, former top executive and co-founder of Mooving, along with Saurabh Arora, Madhu Reddy, and Chanakya Agarwal, TrusTerra addresses one of the biggest gaps in India’s fast-growing EV ecosystem viz. the lack of trust, standardisation, and resale value in the pre-owned EV segment.
It further stated that India’s EV market is projected to exceed 10 million annual sales by 2030, yet resale penetration remains below 2 percent. This has led to buyer confusion, heavy depreciation for sellers, and hesitation among dealers to participate in the segment. 'TrusTerra' seeks to close this gap with a transparent, data-driven, and standardised assessment framework, ensuring credible, fair, and liquid transactions for pre-owned EVs.
“Used EVs are not a side market, they are the market,” said Tanvir Singh, co-founder of TrusTerra. “For India to electrify affordably, a trusted resale backbone is critical. We are building that backbone so every EV owner can unlock fair value, dealers can trade with confidence, and buyers can purchase with trust," he added.
Avinash Sharma, Founder of ElectricPe, also commented on the launch, saying, “The lack of a trusted resale framework has been one of the biggest barriers to wider EV adoption in India. TrusTerra’s AI-backed approach, including the 'TruEV Score', has the potential to unlock confidence for consumers and dealers, strengthening the entire EV ecosystem.”
At the heart of the platform is the 'TruEV Score', a proprietary AI-driven valuation system that evaluates an EV’s battery health, range consistency, and remaining useful life (RUL). Much like a credit score for vehicles, the 'TruEV Score' ensures fair pricing, strengthens buyer confidence, and provides clarity for dealers and financial institutions alike.
The platform also features TerraCash, a rapid diagnostic and liquidity service allowing EV owners to instantly assess their vehicle’s health and receive bids with payment within 24 hours. In addition, 'TerraBid' is a certified dealer auction platform that filters only quality EVs into the market while offering financing, extended warranties, and assured buyback options.
TrusTerra has already engaged with leading EV OEMs, banks, NBFCs, insurers, and dealer networks to validate its AI-backed diagnostic and scoring approach and demonstrate the 'TruEV Score' in action.
Initially focusing on Delhi NCR, the platform plans to expand to key EV hubs such as Bengaluru, Pune, and Hyderabad, serving both B2C customers, including individual owners, buyers, and gig workers, as well as B2B clients, including fleets, dealers, banks, and leasing companies. Over the next 3–5 years, TrusTerra aims to facilitate 1 million pre-loved EV transactions, reflecting the team’s confidence in building India’s resale backbone for electric mobility.
