Trontek has entered the residential energy storage market with its new Powercube 1.4 kWh and Powercube 2.7 kWh systems. The units are the company’s first direct-to-home lithium-ion solutions designed to deliver reliable, long-life backup power for households, including solar-enabled homes.
The move marks a shift for Trontek from an OEM-focused supplier to a consumer-facing clean-energy brand. According to the company, the Powercube range will be available in regions with high rooftop solar adoption, rising household energy demand, and frequent power interruptions. The systems come in 1.4 kWh and 2.7 kWh capacities, each offered in Standard and Premium versions. Standard models feature a basic SOC indicator, while the Premium “+” models include an LED status display for enhanced visibility.
Built on Trontek’s two decades of lithium-ion engineering and advanced battery management systems, the Powercube units are designed for both grid backup and hybrid solar use. They deliver higher efficiency, longer operating life, and better performance than lead-acid batteries, according to an official statement.
“India is entering a phase where self-reliance, electrification, and renewable integration are advancing rapidly,” said Samrath S. Kochar, Founder and CEO of Trontek. “As rooftop solar expands and residential energy needs evolve, home-level storage will play a central role,” added Kochar.
