Triveni Engineering & Industries (TEIL), an integrated sugar and ethanol manufacturer and a water and wastewater management company, has announced the appointment of Vivek Viswanathan as an Additional Director, designated as Whole-time Director and Key Managerial Personnel (KMP), for a five-year term effective August 01, 2026, subject to approval of shareholders at the ensuing Annual General Meeting of the Company.

Viswanathan brings more than two decades of leadership experience across the sugar and distillery industry and he previously held the position of Joint Managing Director at Sir Shadi Lal Enterprises (SSEL). In that role, he oversaw the company's full operational scope — from manufacturing and supply chain management to cost efficiency, turnaround efforts and the rollout of key strategic initiatives. His hands-on industry background makes him a strong fit to support TEIL's upcoming growth phase.

The appointment follows the successful amalgamation of SSEL with TEIL under the Composite Scheme of Arrangement and reflects the Company's focus on ensuring strong leadership as it integrates the expanded operations. Viswanathan will play a key role in driving operational excellence, accelerating integration, and helping unlock the full value and synergies of the combined enterprise.

Commenting on the appointment, Tarun Sawhney, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Triveni Engineering & Industries, said, "We are pleased to welcome Vivek to Triveni's Board. His extensive industry experience, operational expertise and familiarity with the erstwhile SSEL business will be invaluable as we integrate our expanded operations. Strengthening our leadership team is an important step in realizing the full potential of this combination, enhancing operational excellence, and creating sustainable long-term value for all our stakeholders."
