Trina Solar: The first TrinaPro project with 250MW is on the way.

Trina Solar Limited, a leading total solutions provider for solar energy, has won a bid for a 250 MW “Top Runner” PV power plant project in Tongchuan, Shaanxi, China together with another solar company.

This 250MW solar power plant project will be the first project worldwide utilizing the TrinaPro smart PV solution. Designed as an advanced agricultural solar power plant, the high-tech system integrates multiple functions in terms of agriculture, photovoltaics, tourism and poverty reduction.

The project in Tongchuan will be a high-end TrinaPro showcase, integrating N-type bifacial dual glass modules with 20.67% efficiency, Nclave trackers and advanced inverters.

TrinaPro is a smart PV solution that can significantly reduce the system LCoE (levelized cost of electricity) by combining premium components, optimized system integration and smart O&M interconnection. TrinaPro features Trina Solar’s industry-leading solar modules, state-of-the-art tracker systems and world-class inverters.

The “Top Runner” project is a dedicated PV supporting program initiated by China’s National Energy Administration (NEA) in 2015. The project is designed to facilitate the deployment of advanced PV technologies and the upgrading of manufacturing for the entire industry in China.
