Transrail Lighting Secures New T&D Orders Worth INR 412 Crore

Transmission and Distribution EPC company Transrail Lighting has announced that the company has secured new orders worth INR 412 crore in its core transmission and distribution (T&D) business. Following these new orders, the order intake for the year has grown to INR 2,021 crore. Additionally, it has further L1 orders totalling INR 409 crore.

The order wins mainly include projects in the domestic market for transmission line reconductoring through HTLS conductors. These additional reconductoring orders, apart from the ones the Company declared a few days back, will help Transrail to cater to such new types of projects where the high-performance carbon core HTLS conductors, which are manufactured in-house, are used to increase the current-carrying capacity of the Transmission lines, the company stated.

With the increased manufacturing capacities (Tower 184,400 MTPA and Conductor 40,800 KMPA) and the tailwinds associated with the T&D sector in both domestic and international markets, the company is well aligned for profitable growth, it asserted.

Commenting on the development, Randeep Narang, MD and CEO, Transrail Lighting, stated, “I am happy to announce new order wins worth INR 412 crore, which further helps to increase our orderbook and reinforce our position as an integrated T&D player. With this, we further expand our domestic footprint in transmission line reconductoring projects using high-performance carbon-core HTLS conductors manufactured by us.”

He further added, “We are motivated to see the Government's thrust for the sector by approving Phase-III of the Green Energy Corridor, which will strengthen India's power infrastructure to support the evacuation of 900 GW of non-fossil fuel-based generation. Industry tailwinds like this, coupled with our enhanced manufacturing capacities for towers and conductors, make us well placed to continue our growth and create sustainable value.”
