Transrail Lighting Adds 12,000 MTPA Tower Capacity at Silvassa Plant

Transrail Lighting has expanded its tower manufacturing capacity by 12,000 MTPA at its Silvassa plant to 184,400 MTPA, with further expansion planned under phase 2 to take the company’s overall capacity beyond 200,000 MTPA.

Transmission and Distribution EPC company Transrail Lighting has announced that it has further increased its Tower Manufacturing capacity by 12,000 ΜΤΡΑ as part of its brownfield expansion at the Silvassa location.
 
With this expansion, the company's Tower manufacturing capacity has increased from 172,400 ΜΤΡΑ to 184,400 ΜΤΡΑ. Apart from this current increase, the company is further in the process of enhancing its tower capacity as part of its phase 2 expansion, which, once achieved, will take the overall capacity of the company beyond 200,000 ΜΤΡΑ, the company said.
 
Commenting on the development, Randeep Narang, MD and CEO, Transrail Lighting, stated, “This expansion will contribute to helping us further strengthen our manufacturing base, which will in turn assist in executing our large order book and target growth. We continue to further enhance our tower manufacturing capacity and will take it beyond 200,000 MTPA once the planned capex program is fully completed.”
 
In another development, Transrail Lighting has secured new orders worth more than INR 574 crore mainly in the core Domestic Transmission and Distribution (T&D) business with major contribution from the reconductoring of transmission lines with its new-age carbon core HTLS conductors manufactured in its Silvassa plant.
 
The order wins comprise projects including EPC of Transmission Lines and Transmission line reconductoring projects with supply of HTLS Conductors from its factories and also supply of poles, etc. With this, the order intake for the year grows to INR 1,609 crore, and there are additional INR 694 crore worth of orders where the Company is L1.
